I hope you are kidding, Shaq was never better than Hakeem. Hakeem was a master low-post player while Shaq was pure bulldozer-getting-away-with-every-call. I can't stand watching Shaq play because his coordination is so pathetic.
I like the Shaq pic but I would like to see a real poll of this. It's definately close as to who is the better player. Shaq may have dominated more but Hakeem was good in so many different ways that he is the center to choose as the better.

there is a place for you in heaven. the basketball gods will be wearing red. the others not worthy will go to a place where they have to watch Shaq movies and listen to Shaq rap all day.
shaq was dominant simply via force. but hakeem was simply a better player. he had better skills, more versatile offense, more dominant defense... therefore, hakeem was a better player. in both of their primes, i'd take hakeem. hakeem's defensive ability would have at least slowed down shaq a lil bit, but shaq would be schooled by hakeem on the other end.
Didn't need the history lesson I knew that stuff already but I would still find it interesting to have a true poll of it. Everyone knows it would horribly biased but that would make it interesting to see what percentage even with the bias would vote for Shaq.
sorry for being biased. i met Dream as a kid, he chose to give me an autograph. I said "Hope you get better!" (Dream had been injured by Bill Cartright and the evil Chicago Bulls that year, they were jealous that Dream was owning them so they thugged him) he said "Tank yu kid" And Dream got better.. then a couple seasons later he became the mvp and we won championships! a moment in time, frozen. eternal. forever.
