The last time I had a dream offseason, A-Rod got traded to the Yankees instead.

However, this time it happened for me! I guess I would have preferred Elton Brand but heck this works!

I remember a couple of months ago people were like "hey why don't we trade Steve for TMac and then get a real PG like Eric Snow." And then other people were like "quit smoking pot." Now we still have the MLE to try to get a big man. Now Ewing is leaving for the Nets? He's alright but what if we brought in the dream or Moses to replace him?

    My question is this:

How can this offseason be any better than it already is shaping up to be?

it can be if we can get the right players at the right price to fill in the holes at the PG spot and the 4/5 spot. then it will be the best offseason we've had in recent memory. I think this trade eclipses any of the other major trades we've done in the past by far

Barkley: we gave up two younger great players in horry and cassell for a still productive barkley but you knew he had maybe 4-5 years max left in him and wasnt the same charles of 92

Pippin: still effective like chuck was in his trade but had the huge monkey of "jordan" with him, while still effective he never really played like the pippin we saw in chicago

Francis: well we knew we were getting a special player in francis when we did this trade, but i think we got the better of it for sure, but at the time it was hard to saw at times. Sometimes the greatest college players can be total busts in the pros and vice-versa but of the three i posted here clearly this was the best trade the rockets made in the offseason of recent years.

    till now.........

with the t-mac trade we know we are getting one of the brightest stars in the leage at age 25!! he still has room to grow and we are going to pair him up with a center of 23 years (right now) of age who many believe will be the next dominant force in the league

my god CD and LES YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!11

The remaining moves necessary (and unlikely to happen) for this to be the perfect offseason:

    - Cavs decide to take Mo of our hands for Boozer+Lebron+McInnis
    - Brent Barry signs for significantly less than the MLE
    - Wizards don't match our offer for Etan Thomas
    - Lue decides to opt out

.....so, you said dream off-season right? so it doesn't have to be realistic, does it? here goes...

    1. Mark Cuban and Les Alexander trade franchises. Les Alexander now owns the Mavericks, Mark Cuban now owns the Rockets.

    2. Mark Cuban says "Damn the costs!" and the Rockets sign Kenyon Martin as the Rockets starting power forward.

    3. Mark Cuban again says "Damn the costs!" and the Rockets sign Steve Nash as the Rockets starting point guard.

    4. Mark Cuban says "Let's get even!" and the Rockets sign Stromile Swift, not so much because we even need him after signing Kenyon Martin, but just to get even with Memphis for taking Posey.

    5. The Rockets sign Eric Dampier to be Yao's back up. Dampier doesn't want to be a back up, but due to the fact Mark Cuban says "Damn the costs!" and offers him 12 million a year, he comes anyway.

    6. Mark Cuban decides we need more height at small forward and the Rockets sign Bruce Bowen.

    3. Right except June 2005, after a grueling 7 game finals where the Rockets play hard but just fall short. Keyon Martin, who played poorly but did have a good game seven, goes off to the media, blaming Yao and TMac for "not showing up every game like I did."

    4. LOL

    6. What for? 2 minutes a game at the end of quarters when the opponents have a change to run the last play?
