I was a loyal fan of Dream's forever. We made him feel right at home. The city of Houston has treated him like a king. Why did he sell us out and go to CANADA. BLAME CANADA. I can't believe Dream did this to us.

Sellout might be too nice here. I would say more like a jerk, traitor, egotistical a**hole, 43 year old jabroni, baby, hypochondriac, and posturizee of Vinsanity.
That's just ZRB's way of dealing with loss. And getting attention. Mostly, a freebie. He only had to do it once...
I think it sums up my feelings on the Dream pretty well. And you're not biased? I think you've established yourself as a Hakeem-hater pretty quickly.
Let it go people. Its over and done with. It was neither a sparkling moment for the Rockets organization, nor for Olajuwon. I think it is best to move on to the future, rather than obcess upon the past. Oh, and ZRB - When Olajuwon hired an agent and began asking for fair market value, he forfeited the right for you to play that card. Nice try.
How many of your 3,421 posts are freebies just like this one? It's usually at the very least *entertaining* to read your posts. Sometimes it's even thought-provoking. But you need to come up with better freebie-fillers than "Two Rings"...
Oh, so Hakeem leaving completely cancels out those two titles he delivered to Houston? Ridiculous. Sell-out my ass!
I was making a point. THE MAN GAVE HOUSTON IT'S ONLY MAJOR SPORTS TITLES. AND BECAME THE BEST PLAYER IN ROCKETS HISTORY!! AFTER 17 YEARS OF GIVING HIS ALL, HE IS LEAVING! OH, WHAT A SELLOUT!
No, but by hiring Fegan, and bringing the discussion of his "fair-market value" into this, he made this a purely business decision into which the two rings should not enter.
But why is he a sellout? Hasn't he done more than enough for this franchise? Why should he have re-signed with a team that would have kept him on the bench in the fourth quarter of every game? I am disappointed, but from Hakeem's perspective, he made a fantastic career move.
It'd just be easier to see you admit what he has already said: he didn't intend to come back, never did. He strung us along for a month when he could've told us on day one that he wanted to leave. He's all but said those words himself. He sold US out. You included. Do you think he cares about what ZRB from ClutchCity.net thinks? He didn't even care about what CD, Rudy, and his teammates thought. He just wanted a change. No malice or anything like that, he just wanted a change. Selfish. Self-centered. Sellout.
I do not recall saying he was a sell-out. In fact I distinctly remember suggesting we all move on. I was merely pointing out that the "Two Championships" argument is irrelevant in that Olajuwon made this a completely business discussion. As far as a fantastic career move, though it is impossible to say for certain, I believe that it will go down as another in a long litany of athletes who hung on too long, and ended up finishing their career with a different team than he started with.
Plus Dream needed the extra $4 Million to pay Jordan his remaining balance for staying out of the league for 2 years and playing baseball.
