If these 3 centers were available on draft night who would you choose as the #1 pick?

    Hakeem

    Yao

    Shaq

Either Dream (the most talented) or Shaq (the most powerful). Not to diss Yao or anything, but Hakeem and Shaq would be my two to decide between.

In the end, I'd probably pick Shaq though. Sorry Hakeem!:(

Yao hasn't done anything in this league yet and doesn't even have the skill or athleticisim of Shaq or Dream. I'd pick Dream though.;)

    Dream

Just imagine what Dream, at the same age as Shaq, could have done on that Lakers team with Kobe at his side.

Shaq is lucky. He didn't have to face a young Hakeem.

I'm assuming the question is if they were all at draft camp at the same time. So they'd each be 19-21 years old...which one would we take? Not which one we'd take in their prime.

In this order: Shaq, Yao, Dream.

Shaq was so strong even in college. He obviously was ready for the NBA and could contribute day 1.

Yao enters the league with so much height and so much skill that again contributes pretty quickly. But there is no substitute for the power game that Shaq brings.

Dream was very raw and lots of potential. But will it ever be realized other than as a defensive specialist? We now know the answer is yes but Dream took many years of refining his game before he reached that Hall of Fame caliber.

Hakeem was also lucky. He didn't have to face SHAQ in his prime.

I would take Dream over ANYONE....this includes Jordan. You dont get big men with footwork and quickness like Hakeem had. He is the best big man ever!

Now...YAO doesnt have the athleticism of Hakeem or Shaq?? I can say that about YAO and DREAM but SHAQ....NO WAY! YAO is way more athletic then SHAQ ever dreamed of being...the man is 7'6 and moves the way he does! Shaq cant do alot of the stuff Yao can. Shaq just bulls and offensive fouls hisway to the bucket, he just doesnt get called. Shaq's trademark move is...dropping his shoulder and running over people and no fouls are called....SO ATHLETIC!

If Olajuwon and O'Neal entered the league at the relatively same time, O'Neal would have zero rings.

    Olajuwon > O'Neal
