Draftexpress.com's Jonathan Givony went to visit trainer Joe Abunasser's gym in Las Vegas and tweeted the following:

At the very least, we know Lowry is nowhere near Jerome "Stop Working After Getting Paid" James.

I think one advantage of our depth is that everyone is capable of getting playing time, so they are constantly pushing each other, no one's minutes are guaranteed.

This is why I like Kyle. He never settles for anything. He doesn't give up on the court and off the court. This guy is the real Tru Warrior.

Jumpshooting is all about confidence, just like a golf swing. No confidence, no results. Kyle is too hesitant on his jumper and is ready to rebound his miss before it leaves his hands.

I'm sure he's shooting over a 1,000 jumpshots a day and probably doing well, however, when the house lights come on, it's a different story. For every good game, there are at least 2 or 3 bad ones waiting to happen.

Confidence in your jumper goes a long way to making it happen

It'll be exciting to see KL and AB battle it out for the starting role.

There is no battle. Aaron Brooks is the starter. Lowry is the back -up.

I heard that on his lunch time he is personally welcoming back soldiers from Iraq and donating his time to help nursing home residents.

I've always been a big Lowry fan. It's always a joy to watch him play. Good to hear he goes all out on the practice floor too.

Lowry should start. He is a better floor general than Brooks. It showed last season that his presence brought more fire to the game when he was in. When he wasn't in, we lost more times. Brooks is a scorer, that's it. Lowry is a leader. Lowry's defense is needed in the starting line-up because there is a lack of it currently.

Yao was out last year. Brooks complements Yao much better than Lowry has so far. There's no doubt Brooks makes Yao's life easier on the offensive end. We won't need Lowry to score a ton of points, but it would be nice if he could space the floor a bit. Either that, or take a quantam leap in ability like Rondo or Westbrook. I highly doubt either happens at this point, Lowry is what he is.

Why not? Oh yeah, i know. Because Brooks is a scorer. So is Jason Terry.

Glad to hear he is working hard we are lucky to have a team of hard working guys from top to bottom.

In order to win a starting job, backups like Kyle need to work hard to compete for that job they covet.

Maybe his jumper will improve and he gives AB a training camp showdown.

I've been following Lowry and Patterson all summer and they've both been hitting the gym hard.

Pat has been practically living at the gym. This team is hungry to win and get better even with the new guys. I love that.

Lowry hasn't played a full season with Yao. I gaurantee you he would compliment Yao more than Brooks. He is a pass 1st PG, Brooks is not. He is not as bad a shooter as everyone is making him out to be. He just doesn't shoot as much as Brooks. He is to busy actually running the team. There were too many times last season that the bench had to come in and save the starters. That was all due to Lowry. Brooks's lack of defense is more of a liability than you think.
