It's also a funny argument, because Aldrich pre-combine and even all the way back during the season was projected as high as five. Most of all, the reality of situation is that Oden was just a better player than Aldrich coming out of the college with more NBA potential. As freshman player, Oden was already 15.7 and 9 rebound player. If he were stay in college (now he would be a senior, this past season). I suspect he would easily be the first pick again without the injury problems.
