I hope we win the war for Hakeem, but, if we do lose him to Toronto in a sign and trade, they are offering the $5M trade exception and draft choices. What draft choices do they have that would be worth anything because their picks will be so high? Do they own low picks from some schmuck team that we could get? Is there any hope we can come out of this okay?

If the Rockets don't think they are getting a decent deal then they will just let Hakeem walk and force him to make less.

I believe Seattle owes Toronto a lott-protected #1. That should be fairly good.

As for letting him walk, I doubt the Rockets will try to seek revenge on Dream. And if they can get a 1st round pick or even a second-rounder for free, why wouldn't they?
