Michael Finley is a beyatch! I didn't think he was a cocky b*stard, but according to sports radio 610 this evening, he talked some mad crap about the Rockets, saying they are weak and an unimportant team for him to focus on. What an idiot! Maybe one of you guys has an internet link for this, I couldnt find one but Matt and Adam were talking about it.
Good news to the rockets! We want them to take us lightly. According to Sina, you know JVG has already started to restricted players from talking too much to the media.
Does it really matter what he has to say. Finley is clearly on the downside of his career - at least with Dallas - after once being the primary focal point of their offense. He's gone from 1500-1600 FGA in 99 and '00 to ~1200 in '01 - '03 to the less than 900 this year. Stackhouse plays 8 fewer minutes per game and almost had a higher average. The bottom line is that he's not the stud All-Star he once was and is attempting to get his name back in the paper by bad-mouthing the Rockets. IMHO, he's not worrying about. I worry about the quiet ones like Dirk and Stack.
I'm happy that our players have somthing to fire them up even more! I was getting worried that dallas would start to get fired up because of all the hype we have been getting. today on PTI, around the horn, and other sports shows everyone picked us to win the series...
I'd love to see a link to these alleged quotes. Finley has always been pretty professional guy. I doubt he would trash the Rockets like that.

Yup, I dont see any reason why he would. Especially considering Rockets are playing "so called great ball". You are right though. He has a clean history. I would be surprised if he dissed the Rockets straight forward.
I've been a Finley fan ever since he was traded for Kidd. I'd need some quotes for this too, but he's scum to me until the series is over.
I remember when Steve and Cat were talking trash about these guys a few years back. So I could see this if those guys were still here but I don't get why he would trash this years team. Hard for me to believe. If he did it doesn't bother me. It's just Michael Finley, notice how none of this has it the news?

The problem was that nba.com didn't post the entire quote. they only posted the part about "so-called great basketball" and left it at that.
Well I was being sarcastic. I was referring to your posting of the "full" quote. Seems like much ado about nothing. Although the "so-called" part can be construed as being a bit derogatory. He probably didn't mean it the way it seems especially since he goes on to compliment some of the Rockets.
I really, really doubt Finley bashed us, at least intentionally. He's one of the most professional players in the entire league. I'd need to see quotes, as has been said already.
OMG!!!!! Finnley said Rockets are "a horrible losers' team"! He said there is no way we can win a single game. He even said there is no way we will score over 80 points in any of these games. Finnley also said TMac is a hoser!!!! Holy cow! He thinks himself is a proven winner, and since TMac never won a playoff serie, they are not even in the same league!!! OMG Finnley also said Yao will get killed by Dampier. He thinks since Yao's Chinese, and Chinese can't play, there is no way Yao will ever score over 20 points in any of the games. He also attacked the China, their culture and their political leaders. He said he hates Chinese food and he said something like "chong wah mong kong...". In the end, he used obscene words toward Yao's girlfriend and parents... Dang, Finnley also said Von Gondy is too short to coach the NBA game. Man! Finnley also made fun of Vin Baker's drinking problem and Moochie's suckiness. He also thinks Jon Barry and Deke should get their Parkinson's disease under control before playing in the NBA again.
