Man, I understand we have $40 million worth of salary sitting in the bench but I would do anything to have an alternate TV cast that does not involve Collins, the man is "All fakers, all the time." Not a single positive comment for Houston except begrudgingly, usually while excusing bad faker moments. Collins = Faker excuses during bad Faker moment and calling them the greatest from top to bottom when they do well. Anyways, I guess back to radiocast for me.
it is definitely uncomfortable listening to him as a Rockets fan. but it has been a pandemic problem, the only way to make them shut up is to keep winning.
I never thought I would agree with anyone that said they wanted to hear Clyde. At this point anything is better than Collins' on the air lovefest.
i hate when he calls lakers games. it like im listening to a local lakers sports station or something...ugh
Seriously, I had to walk away from watching the game and not because of the Rockets' play, but because of Collins and his non-ending Lakerphiliac commentary was pissing me off so badly. I don't want to wish bad luck on anyone, but if he suddenly became a mute, I would be a happier man.
you guys will find ANYTHING to complain about. He was completely swinging off of Yao's nuts in game one. The Lakers fans were complaining about him big time earlier in the series.
Collins is a great announcer, just greatly biased and clearly unable to get himself off to anything that's not in gold and purple and wearing the number 24.
I always felt like Collins just promotes the positives of whichever team is playing better on a particular night. Tonight that happens to be the Lakers times a zillion. The only thing that really rubs me the wrong way is how he constantly makes Kobe/Michael comparisons all game as if he's preparing a damn college thesis.
Hey, maybe if the Rockets would stop SUCKING so bad, they would have something nice to say. You can't shoot 18% in the 2nd quarter and expect the announcers to say positive things. DD
The Lakers are kicking the Rockets' rump by 25 points and it's only halftime. What do you expect him to do, criticize the Lakers? I've made it plain how annoying I think Doug Collins is, but the Rockets made them look like the Dream Team in the 1st half. This game is a joke. I knew when I read earlier today the Rockets players were "very loose" the team wouldn't be prepared for the game.
