With all the names flying around in this board during the offseason, I'm suprised this name hasn't been mentioned. The Kings are looking to move many of their players and none are untouchable.
Christie is a tall guard (6'6") who plays great defense and can shoot the three ball with the best of them. He also is a great passer who can feed Yao in the post. With all of the rumors swirling about acquiring McGrady, Christie would be the perfect compliment. Christie would slide over to the point guard, bringing the ball up like he did when he played for Toronto (many forget he was the trade bait when the Raptors tried to trade for Olajawon the first time). He would also match up w/ the other team's best wing player, allowing McGrady to rest more on defense.
Sacramento is pretty much in panic and IMHO would take Cat/Cato for Christie straight up, w/ some draft picks going either way.

NO WAY. The baggage is too much for the Rox to handle (i.e. MRS. CHRISTIE).

But I just can't stand to watch him make all those hand gestures to his wife during the games. It just makes me cringe because it's so public and so unhealthy. She literally does not let him look in the direction of other women. I would sign him if we put them in mandatory couples therapy, five days a week.

Seems like we would have to be in panic mode as well if we traded both Cat and Cato for him

Cat presents more of an outside threat (spacing) than Christie does.

Where do you hear that Sacramento is dismantling their team?

I wouldn't trade Cat or Cato for him. Cat is younger and gets better every year. Abover average defensive big men like Cato should be able to get us something better then Christina.

Not to mention I cant stand that little wuss. I literally feel like vomitting every time I see him do that hand signal.

I used to feel the same way until he beat the crap out of Rick Fox. Anyone with that much rage has some serious issues. There's no way his relationship with his dominatrix is even remotely healthy.

Well Ricki is more girly then Christina, so that really isn't that big of an accomplishment.

That would make a good poll question. I'll go with Doug since Rick has Vanessa.

    This thread is very funny.

Is it possible to state in Christie's contract that his wife is not allowed to be visible to him during games? That should solve the gesture problem. :D

Dumb trade. Our defense is good enough. Our offense failed us in the playoff. Replacing Cat with Christie and we better win all those 66- 64 games. Throwing in Cato would be like giving him away.

Christie will likely be marketed because he makes too much and Bobby Jax is better.

Christie is coming into the downward spiral that leads to retirement in a couple of seasons. His play in the playoffs showed that his game is no longer what it used to be.

Because he was aked to score and do things he is not capable of doing.

    Nice ballplayer, still. Rotten contract.

Doug Christie isnt a scrub, just because he gets paid 8 million and doesnt average 15pts means hes a scrub.

Hes an excellent perimeter defender and a great shooter. He has the ability to play the point. He basically can do what Cat can do, but maybe better. I wouldnt trade Cat for him though, since cat is younger and cheaper.

I could see him averaging the same as Cat with a little more assist if he was on our team. Since the Kings has so many scorers he doesnt need to score, but could if he wanted to.

Great shooter, scorer, better Cat? Ya right. The guy has no balls. The guy never shows up in an important game. He is not an impact player.

HE IS AN OVERPAID ROLE PLAYER THAT SHOULD NOT BE IN THE GAME AT CRUNCH TIME. HE DOESN'T WANT THE SHOT AT THE END OF THE GAME! But, he is a team player.
