Well, that was really stupid by NJ.

Classic example of why I say Mobley doesn't selfishly attack double teams. Also, a classic example of why Jim Boylen tracks the Mobley 2-Shakes at 60%.

Love it or not, and i don't really love it, upon further review recap we will find the 2-Shakes (which was necessary since our franchise went down) was at or above that 60%.

    GO CELTICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    HP,

Come on now, as you get on everyone else for making one game judgements, don't you jump on that bandwagon too, less you start looking hypocritical.

Yes, it was an AWESOME game by Cat, but it is certainly not the norm, or else as often as he has the ball, he would be averaging more then just 2 assists.

I hope this is a new beginning for him, if he played this unselfishly all the time, he would get FAR less criticism.

Back in the day, whenever a defense decided to front Dream, it was free money.

You can't front Dream, he'll score every time. (as long as we could get him a half-assed entry pass)

Now 2 Shakes is a one of our prime plays, a money play.

You can't doubleteam the 2 Shakes early; we'll score every time. It just doesn't work. You couldn't front Dream. He'd score every time. It just didn't work.

    DaDakota,

I didn't know Mobley had 11 assists on that post. I said in another post that that is due to Rudy and 2-Shakes. I agree this has nothing to say about Mobley, except that he doesn't attack double teams like people say. His assists were in the system, just like most his points are.

Can he improve by passing, yes he can. And he will once the system improves.

    DaDakota,

I didn't really mean for this thread to be like Smeggy's. I just meant to point out that NJ did an early double of 2 Shakes of which WE HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS YEAR.

Look, no other team has doubled 2 Shakes that early, this whole season (discounting half court traps). What NJ did was stupid and Mo burned them This is not 11 assists for Mobley, this is 11 assists for Rudy and 2-Shakes.

Do you understand what I'm trying to say here?

rudy coached an excellent game tonight

he did 3 things besides the 2 shakes calling

1.) crunch time D- he finally got them to switch on the pick and roll. mo tay played marbury very well for a big man

2.) knowing when to call timeout- the rockets were struggling. he called timeout, motivated them, and got their focus back

3.) adjusted w/ out francis- having mobley bring the ball up and have mooch almost as a 2 at times- see at the end of the game- was really smart. no1 figured mobley would pass or penetrate like moochie.
