come one guys if it so much trouble to get reshard, what about these guys? these guys are still free agents. and unrestricted too. i know i know Donyell played for Utah, yeah i hate them too. but come on he's not so bad. and for Darvin, i think we all know about Darvin why don't we throw some money at these guys and let them help out at the small forward.
Marshall was'nt really a solid player coming out of college but now at 29 he's starting to resurface in the league making himself a vital player and a great small forward, second from Lewis. I think it will be great to have him in Rockets uniform, But then again from 5 to 6 Million will be the target amount. But who am I kidding, we got heavy clog at 3 spot, so why bring another one!
Darvin Ham is an athletic specimin who has little or no basketball skills whatsoever. I would be mildly surprised if he's in the NBA next season at all. Donyell Marshall would be a good pickup, but I don't think he's the type of player the Rockets are looking for. They'd like a backup SG-SF, not another SF-PF type of player. Among Jazz castoffs, Bryon Russell would be the better option.
Ricky Davis could swing from the 2/3. Good strength, size and great athleticism... What do you think? Is he even in our price range?
Ricky Davis is probably going to command the full exception - if not a starting job as well - on the open market, most likely from Cleveland or Denver. I don't think he'd take to well to coming off the bench in Houston, even if it's for a better team.
Nah, not yet. They are really trying to, but he's also seriously considering Denver. Both teams are offering him a starting position, I think - though Cleveland's acquisition of Miles may make that less of a certainty than before.
The Donyell Marshall issue has already been covered. Ham is a fun player to watch - real high energy and a great dunker - but he just doesn't have the skills to play the 3. I will put my vote behind Ham for the dunk contest though.
Im a big Darvin Ham fan. Dude knows how to hussle and grab boards. Can dunk with authority. And...... he hung out at one of my parties at Texas Tech....
Ham can dunk and hustles, but not much else...he doesn't look all of 6'7" either (more like 6'5"). Marshall is a good player when healthy, he can grab boards and score for you. I think he is asking more dough than most teams can afford. That points to a sign and trade, with the Jazz, no way.
Repeat after me: The Rockets do not need athletic dunkers. All stocked there! The Rockets need s-h-o-o-t-e-r-s. Thank you.
