Yeah, I used to have this one saved on my PC but then I lost it a few years ago when my hard drive died. I found it a few days ago -- what a coincidence.

If you've ever worked in tech support, you realized that EVERYTHING, EVERY STORY, EVERY EVENT, EVERY CALL is 100% real. You couldn't fake some of this stuff, it's so unrealistic.

On data loss: There was one woman who came into the shop with her Packard Bell. She'd spent the last 4 years writing 11 screenplays on her PC. The Hard Drive physically went bad. The only way to save it was to send it to a data recovery place. She left the PC with us and said she'd come back later and get it. She never came back. -- I always wonder what happens to some of these people. Sometimes regular customers all of the sudden vanish. Do they die? Did the service finally get to them? who knows . . .

    ...testing out sounds today...enjoy!

I haven't heard this is like 4 yrs. Friends of mine at an ISP used to make prank calls with this recording ... there is a slight pause where the tech guys will try to say something ... just when the recording goes ballistic.

The best prank was a guy who listened patiently ... then said "cool" at the end. lol

This is one of my favorite tech support calls. Story is a Solomon Bros stock broker wants his computer back from the repair shop and leaves a message on their machine. Check out the shakey voice just before he goes ballistic.

I've heard this before, and my one question to it's veracity is this: How can someone have two years of work on his laptop without backing up any of it? I can see losing some, especially if his computer crashed before he could back up. But answer me this? How many of you who have had a computer for two years have not saved anything to disk? Programs can be reloaded, so just back up the stuff unique to you. I don't know.....

As I am sure you know, that lady's first mistake was Packard Bell. Between them and Compaq I have made a small mint in repairs. Those 2 are a crash waiting to happen. I love this sound clip though. I can so see this happening.
