Hey, I know he missed a few free throws and wasn't much on offense, but Cato really did contribute to this win. It's almost sad how much crap the fans give him. He got some boos even during the starting lineup introductions. But he came out and played some really good defense out there. He had what might have been the biggest hustle play of the game when he ran down a Rockets miss against two Bucks players and swatted the ball towards Eddie Griffin, eventually leading to Griffin free throws. And then, down the final stretch, Cato came up with three HUGE rebounds to help seal the win. I know he's overpaid and not that great a player, but he was a difference-maker in tonight's game, and for that we should give him some props!

He did hustle well today but if he were somewhat respectable at his free throws, our loss streak wouldnt be this long and we would have had this game seeled earlier. I'm not trying to say that he's the only one missing his free throws because he's not but he's definitly a large part of the problem, almost to a point where regardless of his hustle, I think we should substitute him come crunch time.

he might improve his FT% now!? hitting 3 clutch freebies, STRAiGHT AFTER MISSING 3, on fouls from pressure defensive rebounds should do wonders for his confidence (his confidence is the only thing on the planet more delicate than his body:)).

    I went to the game...

Looking at the box score, his stats do look pretty decent.

However, I can't recall how many times I would yell at Cato for being lazy, or just dumb.

The lazy parts is when he wouldn't try to block a guard's layup attempt.

The dumb parts is when he would be called for trying to steal the ball from Cassell.

i went to the game too...and i was one of the one's booing cato. the guy can't even hold onto the balling going up to the basket, and on top of that, he doesn't have the skill to make clutch free throws...

    (I's @ the game too)

You really have to see the Rockets live to truly appreciate the level at which Cato can suck. It truly is a thing to behold. The way he can never get that extra 1/3 inch of the ground to actually tip the ball into the basket, the way he is able to finesse a stuff out of even the most average opponent, and the beauty with which he can brick from the line, makes a young man proud.

In all seriousness, I would suggest we trade Cato for my grandmother, but I couldn't do that to the retirement home team.

Ya'll can say what you want, but I feel safer when he actually tries to play and hustles.

Cato's 3 foul shots were clutch, considering how he shot the rest of the game. He still needs to improve his free throw shooting. Atleast his form's not as ugly as Mason's.

That's what I'm referring to... I don't think he really did hustle that well defensively.

He did play a lot of minutes, so he may have been tired.

He just needs to grow up, hopefully Willis will help him there.

I was under the impression Cato's been playing with more passion lately. I haven't seen much of recent games, but for awhile before he hurt his wrist, people were commenting that he was playing much better. He's still been pulling down some boards, averaging close to 3 o-reb the past 11 games. I want to think that he hasn't been challenging shots because he doesn't want to get in foul trouble.

On the whole, though, I agree that even given an improved Cato, I'd still move him, unless he could convince me that he can catch a pass. However, I wouldn't move him for nothing. Fact is, he's still better that what some teams got, and we're still better off with him tha. without, at least for now. It's not like there's anyone backing him up with promise who just needs playing time.

I want to see another one of Cato's trademark DUNK-BRICK-SWISH-SPECTACULAR dunks before I say he is contributing!:D
