Things I took from last nights game. 1) Deke is actually a better defender than Yao. So we really don't lose anything on the defense end or rebounding. And I think he could handle at least 20 MPG without a problem. 2) Luis Scola can score down in the post if needed. He had several nice post up moves with a hook shot off the glass last night. I think he and Carl Landry can pick up some of the scoring slack. 3) There really aren't any scary centers in the West to be THAT worried about. Ironically only the Suns with Shaq have a bonafide big man. In fact we might even match up better now with Utah or Dallas. Boozer KILLED Yao in the playoffs last year. 4) Rick Adelman is the master and mixing and matching lineups and making things work. Unlike Van Gundy, he'll make the necessary adjustments and completely change the style if necessary. I'm not basing the rest of the year on one game against a lousy team, BUT the Wizards beat New Orleans the night before. And if we can EASILY win a game without Yao and Tmac going 4-15 and scoring only 11, then I'm not ready to mail it in just yet. With our coach and chemistry, anything is possible! Go ROX!!!
