Im Not Trying to star this thread again, but I don't understand why people hate T-mac. In 04-05 His PPG Was 25.7. In 05-06 His PPG was 24.4 cutting to the action is that Tracy Mcgrady did so much for us Rockets fans. This Is Why People don't like to come here because their many reasons. T-mac didn't leave the Rockets shipped him to The Knicks for Martin So nothing is his fault.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7qT-39KaGY The Tracy McGrady Injury Curse By Brandon Ribak (Senior Writer) on November 18, 2008 Tracy McGrady has never played an entire 82 game NBA season in his 11 year career. Ailing injuries and unfortunate luck have prevented T-Mac back from becoming one of the best players in the league, getting into the Hall of Fame, and most of all, winning a Championship. 2000 season In 2000, Tracy McGrady was dealt to the Orlando Magic where he would play alongside Grant Hill. The two of them had a chance to bring the Magic to the playoffs, and possibly take it all the way. But with bad luck on Tracy's side, Hill played only 4 games that season due to an ankle injury. The team ended up losing in the first round of the playoffs to the Milwaukee Bucks. 2005-2006 season In the beginning of the 2005-2006 season, Tracy complained about multiple back spasms and missed eight games because of the injury. In January of the same season, T-Mac faced the Denver Nuggets and was taken out of the game on a stretcher because of severe back spasms. He missed five games due to the re-occurring injury. The Rockets couldn't win games without him and missed the playoffs that season. 2006-2007 season Once again, back spasms prevent him from playing in seven games near the start of the season. When returning, T-Mac said that he was not the same anymore. He stated that the pain in his back slowed him down and prevented him from being as explosive as he used to be. But when 7'6" Yao Ming went down with a leg injury, T-Mac was forced to step his game up. Tracy carried his team for the rest of the season, averaging 24.6 points per game, a career high 6.5 assists, 5.3 boards, with 1.3 steals, ending the season with the fifth best record in the league. They lost the playoffs in the first round to the Utah Jazz. 2007-2008 season On Nov. 15, 2007, T-Mac injured his elbow and an X-ray revealed that it was just a minor strain. Dec. 10, Tracy left the game due to an ankle injury and did not return. Dec. 15, T-Mac injured his left knee in the first quarter, but returned in the second half. Dec. 19, McGrady limped noticeably with a sore left knee and was replaced for the rest of the game. He missed the next 11 games. Apr. 9, 2008: McGrady sits out because of soreness in his strained and bruised left shoulder. Tracy ended the season missing 16 games. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and shoulder, needing at least three months of recovery. 2008-2009 season It has been only 11 games into the season so far and Tracy McGrady is already down with a knee injury. This time it seems more serious than ever before. Tracy said to reporters that he feels like he is back to square one again. T-Mac stated that he has sharp pain going through his knee and feels as if he never had surgery this off-season. "I'm feeling the same pain," T-Mac says. So what is going to happen with McGrady this season? Will he ever be able to stay healthy for an entire season and win a Championship before he retires? Will he make it to the Hall of Fame? Will his ailing knee, shoulder, and back even let him continue to play his game of basketball? Source: Bleacher Report

Its not hate... He is regarded as a joke among Rockets fans for his failure to bring us out of the first round and his stats post Houston. Those stats are ATROCIOUS. He was once regarded as a top 5 player in the league...Look where he is now. He has spent 2 seasons on veterans minimum and playing like Kwame Brown. If he bolts for a contender for a ring this board will explode with hate...so much it wouldnt even be funny
All love for MerGady. It was great the way he quit on us and threw everyone under the bus. I also think it's fantastic that the man has been hated and booed by every team that he left. What a wonderful player.
You should post this same topic in an Orlando Magic forum, Toronto Raptors forum, and soon an Atlanta Hawks forum. You will notice a pattern and then you will have your answer.
To be fair, some fans disliking him does not make him a mediocre or poor player. Just not a perfect human being.
For the last last time.... last, ha. the "book on mcgrady" keeps growing McGrady's own demeanor brings a lot of it. Not a terrible guy, but he's surely not classy. He tries to look "unaffected" by the criticism taking the "high road", but it doesnt work. He mismanaged by choosing not to manage it. If McGrady was like Grant Hill in demeanor he'd have less hate. I still I think McGrady reminds some people too much of themselves. When McGrady's lethargic example reflects back, its a mirror hitting too close to home on some people. So detractors will act like they operate on a level "above" though they have some of the same loser characteristics themselves. Others need him to succeed cuz they dont want to see how life just isnt fair. Overall sports is just about bottom line and his team results didnt deliver. Get praised when you win, hated when you lose. If you're a douche, its even worse
His fans have some type of inferiority complex. on top of that they have no concept of rockets history.
