Don't forget this Sunday we lose an hour on the clock.

If this has been posted I apologize.

Daylight time begins in the United States on the first Sunday in April and ends on the last Sunday in October. On the first Sunday in April, clocks are set ahead one hour at 2:00 a.m. local standard time, which becomes 3:00 a.m. local daylight time.

In 2005, daylight time begins on April 3

It's my favorite time of the year. I'll gladly give up that one hour of sleep to be able to see it stay daylight one extra hour. It signals warm weather, sunshine and golf to me. Bring it on!

Agreed. Who really needs that extra hour on Sunday anyway?

I love the winter time. No bugs that bite or sting, you don't start sweating when you go outside, it gets dark earlier, you might miss some school/work due to weather, holidays. Summertime just isn't my time.

Wikipedia has a great article on DST. I enjoy the Summertime hour breakup (the time when we are in DST) much better than the Wintertime when we are not in DST. Wish we stayed in it year round . . .

Well now that I am in Arizona, I no longer have to worry about DST. Of course the sun comes up way too early for my tastes during the summer. Lots of the locals in Arizona get up before 5:00 am and are out walking, jogging, biking and golfing. I don't care if it is daylight or not, I can't get out of bed that early. It is already nice and toasty too by the time I go to work.

It would be that bad for us if it stayed at DST year round. But for those northern cities like Detroit, Cleveland, Seattle, the sun wouldn't rise until well after 830 in the winter time.

I don't know why it needs to rise before 8:30 anyway. I mean, that's just too early. What are you going to do that early? Get up and go to work. You don't need it to be light to go to work. Besides, it should be dark... to match the fact that it's just early and everybody ought to be in bed.

I'm not happy about this weekend... I could have really used that hour. :( But at least it won't get light so darn early. I was out late and didn't go home until about 6 a.m. this morning and it was already getting light.
