Well, it's broke now, and don't give me that 70% successful nonsense. "Once we get healthy we can beat any team in the league" "We're the darkhorse that no one wants to face in the playoffs (except Utah apparently)" "Oh, we just added (insert 'Luis Scola, Mike James, Bonzi Wells, Stromile Swift, Steve Francis, etc.), since we did mediocre last season, we're obviously going to the finals this time!" "Oh, we always just hit our stride late into the season, don't worry about what's going on right now." Face it, we aren't beating Boston or LA anytime soon. As a matter of fact, the only time we looked remotely close were the three wins we ran off with Aaron Brooks. There is something fundamentally wrong with our starting lineup. What need to surround them with consistent attack oriented players. Landry, Aaron, Von Wafer - just the sound of these players names makes me picture Landry blocking Deron, Aaron driving over two Hornets, Wafer blocking the "expletive" out of Mo Evans. It's obvious as to why. Our stars love to pass and play smart by passing out of double teams. Shane and Rafer are reluctant (or just bad) at converting these opportunities and Luis is only mediocre (compared to Landry). When we plug Aaron in for Rafer, we immediately gain a serious target for our Stars to pass to. Sure, our second unit has their weaknesses defensively, Landry may not be able to guard other larger PF's, Von Wafer still makes defensive mistakes, and Aaron Brooks is too small. But they may overcome these issues with time. Increased minutes for these players with Yao and Tracy would be great.
I hate rafer alston I think he will forever be my most hated Rocket He is the hardest Rockets player for me to watch, and I watched Scottie Pippen play...
What's your point? The top 2-9 teams of the western conference as of the day after Christmas are within 2-3 games of each other. TMac doesn't pick it up now, we won't even MAKE it to the playoffs. We can't wait for him to wake up around the all-star break.
