...are blowing out the Hornets as we speak and it's not even halftime yet. Of course, Chris Paul will probably make me eat crow in the second half, but at least he has a healthy team to work with.
I really do feel we have the best chance to beat the Lakers not the Hornets. We can definitely beat the Lakers!
no, im even more sad about it, because fakers are still undefeated which means there are less chances the roxs to win the championship...
If that is soo then the West is lookin more like a one what race and every team should be building to beat them.
New Orleans overrated. Just let CP3 play but block his passing, and make some decent defence against them, and a win. Only very good defensive teams can beat fakers.Like 07-08 Rockets. Just wait till next Lakers-Houston matchup, after we get back Shane, sign Deke and Tracy's health back, we'll be a scary matchup for Lakers. Dont panic yet, let Lakers to be hyped, it's too early for us.
If you go to the Hornets site they are having a raging fight where one half says they suck. The other side says that it is not so bad cause the Lakers destroyed Houston.
The Lakers are just pwning the rest of the league. If they stay healthy, 70+ wins is not unthinkable.
Lakers are more hype than substance right now. They're already believing their own press clippings and are looking to match up with the Celtics again in the finals. Lakers will be hard pressed not to fade towards the middle of the season and the Rockets will be right on their heels. We can definately sent the Fakers fishing earlier than they think. Go Rockets!
at this point, the lakers are for real and the rockets are hyped. we are (at best) a 5th or 6th seed, as of now. they need a good a$$ whoopin from the celtics or any team.
I'd say their substance incredibly may be even greater than their hype as hard as that is to believe. I see very few weaknesses in that team if they stay healthy. The only team I see out there right now that I think may be able to beat them in a 7-game series is the Celtics because of their outstanding defense.
The Fakers have come out in mid season form. They have something to prove after getting thumped by the Celtics and that's great, but the west is way to deep and talented to think they are a one team show. That's just plain hubris on their part. I'm a Rockets fan so by definition I hate the Fakers, but I was actually rooting for the Mavs to beat them the other night. I can't stand the fat headed Mavs. That's just how bad I want to see the Fakers get a big pc of humble pie.
The Lakers are scary good. And it's interesting that the Lakers apparently have a very different philosophy compared to the Rockets as well. I read somewhere recently that the Lakers do not put much stock in analytics -- Phil Jackson apparently doesn't care for it. Plus, they put a much higher emphasis on quickness and length than we do. Again, that's a Jackson staple (Jordan, Pippen, Grant/Harper in the mid-90s, and now Kobe, Ariza, Odom, Gasol, Bynum). If the Lakers end up dominating the league, and we end up underperforming expectations, we may want to fundamentally rethink our approach to team-building.
i applaud ur homerism but i cant make that statement confidently until a healthy rockets actually rears its head.
