I have always liked Del Harris, and know his daughter pretty well. I would be very happy with him as the coach of the Rockets, his attitude would probably be just about right for the current team.

I would like to see Mario or someone else groomed to take over for him ala Avery though as Del is getting up there in age.

    How-the NBA recycles head coaches

Why-he is a name people know, Les like to make a splash

Is that answering the question without answering it?

As I'm posting this 50% say no. I'd like to know why people don't think he'd be a good replacement.

I second that. Where is the 'indifferent' option?

I don't think there is a better option over JVG but since he will not be back I belive Harris will make a solid replacement + y'all will get to see Spanoulis in the rotation.

I don't know anything about anything, I just know JVG will have a presser at some point.

Short-term, I'd be okay with it. The chances of our getting a coach that could lead us somewhere great are small and the chances that we'd hire a complete f---up that would kill the team are much, much higher. A neutral caretaker wouldn't be the worst fate.

I still wish we'd look into Paul Silas, but Les apparently wants nothing to do with him.

No, because JVG is a better coach and we should be extending him.

nothing is confirmed but most belive he is not wanted back by the owner but because of the situation he will be allowed to say he is stepping down or both parties decided to part ways.
