http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2904087 Should we pick this guy up, or would he be too expensive?
The Texans were 6-10 last year and play Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison twice a year. They need football players, Darius is a good one.
That actually isn't true. They have a solid set of running backs. The rest of the team is debatable, but the running backs are at least solid.
What about Robert Griffith? I was reading an ESPN or CNNSI article about him the other day, and he sounds like he'd be an interesting acquisition. Only looking for vet minimum, although he says he wants to play for a Super Bowl contender, and I can't honestly say I think the Texans are that.
We dont need Darius. He's not as effective as he once was, and we have younger, cheaper options at SS.
Darius isn't that bad as a stopgap. But it'd be similar to when we moved Coleman to safety I think.. short-term, and he'll be done in a couple of years (at least at the level we expect) I'd definitely go for him over Griffith, though...Griffith is already washed up
The Texans should pick this guy up the strong safety position is weak and a good hard hitting vet would help the texans weak secondary and even help glen earl or cc bbrown improve.
