http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawaka...minutes-guide-yankees-get-no-27-now-vs-cable/ Is it time for the Rockets to pounce on a young star? Would you consider taking a bad contract to get a PF like Anthony Randolph? As an understudy to Chuck and Battier, Would he be the perfect PF to go next to Yao? Aaron Brooks Chase Budinger Trevor Ariza Anthony Randolph Yao Ming -------------------------------- 2011 NBA Champions!!!! Just pure (fun) speculation, fellas...
He's one of those guys who shows great potential like Villanueva but does not show heart like Villanueva, Swift and D Coleman. I have only seen him place once, but I feel sold that he'd be a good upgrade...maybe...I don't know...why did I ever reply to this?
I don't know whether or not Randolph has heart but I know the boy has guts. He attempted to go toe-to-toe with Deke last season when the Rockets played them in Oakland and he's supposedly ready to have a break out year. Unfortunately for him, he plays for Don "I don't care about this game anymore" Nelson.
I'm not sure how good Randolph will be yet, but the Warriors need to fire Nellie before he ruins the guy. Nellie has close to a zero chance of being coach next season, so why should they let him wreak havoc on the way out?
Yup, Anthony Randoph certainly plays with heart and passion from what I have seen. That is why I am SO surprised that Nelson does not have a spot for him. I used to love Don Nelson, but I think he might be the worst coach in the NBA right now. RETIRE...RETIRE...RETIRE!!!
When Randolph was in college, I had the fortune of watching him play in person a couple of times. I remember being very impressed and thought he had the skills to be an impact player in the NBA. Of course, seeing someone in person always seems to raise your opinion of them as opposed to just watching them on a small screen.
Wow - Randolph is a guy who has a pretty well-rounded game. If we could make a deal to bring him in, then I'd be all for it. Unfortunately you'd probably have to take back Cap'n Jack (and his long contract) in order to make a deal. So effectively the question is 'do we risk our precious cap space in 2010 to bring in Randolph and Jackson'? And we're probably giving up Landry in order to bring him back. Do we do it? Maybe? Something like Cook + Landry + Dorsey ($7.33m) for Jackson + Randolph ($9.48m) would work on paper. It does 'lock in' our lineup for the next few years though.
Randolph is an interesting prospect. As for Nellie, I'd wait at least until December, before speculating that Randolph's occupying his doghouse.
The problem with this is he's just toying with Randolph. The Warriors aren't going anywhere this season, why give the guy sporadic minutes? That gets really old, really fast and its not like the Warriors are in it to win it this season. Limiting his minutes has no logic or reason behind it, unless Nellie's goal is to stunt Randolph's growth. If I was Randolph there's no way I'm staying GS once my contract's over unless they fix their management/coaching mess.
I would get a third team involved that's interested in acquiring Jackson like the Cavs or the Bobcats. But what players from those team that would fit in to Aldelman' system.
