is a piece of CRAP! I couldn't decide if I wanted to try it...I figured with the promotion (free with purchase of a large at menu price), it was only costing me about $2.50 or $3 compared to my large via coupon price. Even with the very few reviews I could find online being bad, it had to be worth $2.50, right? WRONG. Oreos are soft on top. Crust literally is cardboard--both in taste and texture. (And I never say that about food, so it's not just a phrase) Then the icing drizzled over everything tastes like nothing. Not even as good as the fake crappy icing used on cheap cakes or the stuff that comes in canned (frozen) cinammon rolls. Basically, never order this junk. I believe Domino's owes me my $2.50 plus another $10 for having to eat a slice of it.
Dominos makes the grossest **** to accompany pizza. They had those (don't know if they still do) nasty ass brownies with fudge. I mean seriously..... Brownies and Fudge dip..with PIZZA?? There pizza isn't good enough to with other nasty tasting crap. They need to close that place down. Along with Papa Johns. CiCi's is even nastier... macaroni and cheese pizza? no way! That place is guaranteed to give you diarrhea... I know from experience.
I don't even talk to my brother anymore because he eats his pizza from Papa johns. He always goes for the specials that require you to buy 3 or 4 pizzas, and gets a bunch of gross crap on it. Even with those deals, the pizza comes out to be pretty expensive for the **** quality thats put into them. One time I took him to a really great local place, but he got turned off by it and refused to go back when he saw his ex-girlfriend walk in there one time.
I was in NY two weeks ago and ate nothing but pizza from small m&p joints for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My snacks were hot dogs and gyros from street vendors. FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!
First, I'm not a big fan of Domino's pizza in the first place. It's probably the last of the major chains that I'd prefer to order from. Second, I've never had a good side item, regardless of whether it was an appetizer or desert item. They have these great marketing campaigns that make the sides/deserts sound and look delicious, but they end up being pure crap. I can't think of the last time I voluntarily ordered Domino's, but a few months ago my friends ordered some Domino's and I had a medium thin crust Pepperoni that was decent.
If you want dessert with your pizza, go to CiCi's. One day, I think I'm going to skip pizza and just eat five plates of dessert. The cinnamon rolls are awesome, and their apple pizza rocks hard... Anybody remember the cinnamon sugar strip thingies at Mr. Gatties? Damn, those things were good...
Corporate Pizza does suck. It's freaking nasty. I HATE Domino's Pizza....BUT they have good wings and Cinnastix. Pizza Hut pizza is better...but their wings from Wing Street are the grossest pieces of S*it I have ever eaten. The crust..or fry...or whatever you call it they put on their wings tastes like something growing on a chicken carcass. Papa John's sauce gives me the runs. Seriouslt...within an hour of eating Papa John's I'm crapping my stomach out. The BEST pizza is a place in Sugar Land called Pepperoni's. Great sauce and REAL cheese. Not that melted plastic crap Domino's call cheese.
who the hell eats think crust... why not just dip a taco shell in mozzarella sauce and cheese and eat that instead.
The only kinds of chain pizzas worth eating are Papa John's and Pizza Inn, imo. I agree with A-Train that the apple pizza at Cici's rocks...but everything else there is always gross. Best pizza ever? Double Dave's pepperoni rolls. Ahhhh...
There was a Pizza Inn on highway three out towards El Dorado up until a few months ago. The only other one I can think of is halfway to Beaumont.
"It's not too thick, it's not too thin, the tossed crust New York Pizza from Pizza Inn; ooh it's twice this nice, two for one low price, well it's the most, yeah-yeah, from coast-to-coast.." When I was growing up in Baytown ('80-98), we ate from the one on Garth almost every Saturday, right across from where the Blockbuster is now. If for whatever reason we didn't, we'd hit the lunch buffet on Sunday. And pretty much every YMCA basketball/soccer end-of-the-season "banquet" was held at the one on Alexander. Other than they and Godfathers' (the only pizza I've literally yacked up), I don't think any other past or present big-brand pizza places do weekend buffets. Most of my best pizza memories were at mall food courts: nothin' like watchin Oilers preseason games at Bravo's Italian Cafe at San Jacinto. When I was at U of H, I would take the Metro #30 or #77 to the Park Shoppe, get a couple slices of Roman Delight and dine like a king on that outdoor balcony (a no go during the Texaco Grand Prix). The very best pie I had was the Pizza Hut double decker from '96, which I assume was discontinued at the behest of the American Heart Association. I probably spent about half of my high school graduation gift cash scarfing down those bad boys every single night. Reagarding the original topic, it's probably worth remembering that most edible desserts aren't designed to be cooked in pizza ovens by half-stoned teenagers who are just thrilled to be working 'til 1 am on a Saturday.
