After registering a domain name, is there a way to keep the owner info private? I know sites like WhoIs.com give the owners address and all that. Is there any way to get around that?

Network Solutions has a service to do this. check it out. And I STRONGLY recommend that you hide your info - I have gotten spammed like crazy immediately after I registered my domain names.

No, there isn't a way. I already got the notice that you registered www. donkeyshavefeelingstoo . com and am writing you SPAM as you read this.

That's an extra $9 per year, right? And email is extra with Network Solutions?

I bielieve that they do charge for the info-hiding service, and I think that it's around $9 - $10 a year. I'm not sure. If you're asking about email mx-records and appropriate email/domain mappings, I have no idea what they charge.

But after receiving all that damn spam, it's worth it to have them mask your domain name info.

I don't know of any other serve that will do it, either. Since Network Associates controls the domain names and stuff, they might be the only ones who CAN do it.
