I was watching the Kings broadcast and the announcers mentioned that Tracy was hit on the elbow at least 3 times by Artest while shooting. They were laughing about it, but Tmac was getting hosed by the refs. They swallow their whistle a lot on Tmac. Did Bill and Matt mention anything about that? I have watched Kobe and Dirk on League Pass and if you so much as blow on them, they get calls
He does when he doesn't settle for jumpers and drives to the hole......if he settles for jumpers and occasionally drives to the hole, he gets far fewer calls even when he drives. To the aggressor goes the calls......just ask D-Wade. DD
I am not talking about the drive. I am talking about blatant hits on the elbow that cause the shots to fall short. They showed it on the Kings broadcast. He always gets hit because he's so much taller and jumps so high on the shot, that it is natural for teh extended arm of the defender to hit Tmac's forearm or elbow. Did the Rockets replays show it?
both bill and matt said the calls were very inconsistent.....i thought i heard them say during overtime that the refs had called 27 fouls on us. the refs need to be subject to some kind of penalty for blowing call after call, my favorite was the 3 luther clearly was behind the line on but was only given 2 points for.
the refereeing was inconsistent. one play, battiergets the ball back somehow, and williamson is on the ground flailing his arms and finding any spot on Battier's body... incredible that whole sequence... but thank goodness deke got fouled after that long three... ne ways, i know this is not the thread, but battier is a smart man... knew the clock was down and semi setup for a three...
I agree with you Kobe and Tmac get very similar treatment when it comes to fouls! though this year Tmac is not going to line as much resulting in fewer calls even when he drives in occasionally but as a Rockets fan what I'm more pissed about is Yao not getting calls he pretty much get dogged in the paint some obvious fouls but no f***ing calls!!!
Let it go with the flow man... whenever someone tries to come up with "words" or "nickname" it never worksout!
NBA should make a radical change and do something about it!! whats all the technology for?! these refs aren't doing a good job any ways so it doesn't hurt!
I'll never understand why the NBA doesn't let refs have a look at the replay except for last second shots. But I guess Stern doesn't want to slow down the game, want to make it more exciting........
you can't put your hands all over t-mac and not get called for anything. see what kirk heinrich was doing in chicago, not that it mattered.
this is the best example of star treatment.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y8nI1PPYOk&NR YOU push them and you get to the line. rofls
No, I think he doesn't get enough calls on blatant fouls every game. But, I love that he and the whole team in general don't constantly whine, cry and yell at the refs. They act professional and go do their jobs. I just shake my head as other teams or superstars (Kobe) can't go 30 secs without showing up the refs. You want to talk about inconsistent calls, how about the technical fouls. How is it that Kobe can continue to wave his hands at the refs, J.R. Smith can stare down a Rocket on two consecutive plays (block and a layup over Deke) with no T what-so-ever? Yet, T's are called for Deke's finger wave, Yao's yelling in excitement over big dunk and for Juwan turning around and telling the ref, "WTF!"
I started to hate Dwayne. Yesterday's NBA top 10 featured him twice and fist way no. 10 where he went for a reverse layup, no touch, yet he complained to the referee, next was somewhere in top 3 and he went for a 360 layup direct into some player. yes, a ? call
