This is probably what he's trying to ask.

Are expectations higher for his behavior, etc.

    Obviously the answer is yes.

But that doesn't mean that is how it should be.

The correct answer is people should be responsible and mature enough to not let some celebrity's actions affect them, or their children, in any way.

I love that we have a debate and discussion about what the question is. I think the OP is asking: "does Tiger suddenly become a better person again if he starts winning tournaments like the Masters? This is what happened with Kobe, where he was an awful alleged rapist but all was forgotten when he started hitting jumpers again."

That's my vote for what the OP means.

Do the OP be a 'better' thread for people to understand?

I think B-Bob has the right interpretation of the question. Are people going to start thinking Tiger Woods is a better person when he starts performing well at his sport again?

I think the answer is yes. People will forget everything once he starts winning again.

Does a well person do better in sports than a tiger in the woods?

I don't care if he is a good person or not. If he is happy, more power to him. He should keep playing golf until he is tire of it.

I recall hearing some news about him saying profanities in this weekend's Masters. Now, after all the months of continuous coverage on the media about him, he can't even control his temper? Absolutely rediculous.

Now, if he really wanted to change and shows this, then I'm all for it.

Look at Michael Jordan! The guy is generally deemed as an ******* of a person, and yet people overlook that because of the talents and accomplishments he brought to the game of basketball...

As far as Tiger goes, his incidents have had more public exposure, considering he is a well-recognized global icon. Regardless, he is a golf player, people like to see him play golf and in the end that is what is going to bring his reputation back close to what it once was, if not higher by the end of his career.

    Sorry for double post...

But Tiger is known to not be able to control his temper. I've seen countless videos of him smashing his golf club in frustration, or letting off steam by unleashing a string of profanities for everyone to hear...

It's natural. It's human emotion, he just shows more emotion than others. Now, is this a good way to teach kids how to show good sportsmanship in sports? No. But you can't blame Tiger for caring.
