Trade: The Bulls traded the draft rights Thursday of Spanish center Roberto Duenas to Charlotte for the Hornets' second-round pick in this June's draft. I thought the Bulls couldn't trade picks? Does Houston get compensation? Anything to screw the bulls. Also, why do the Bulls want another second round pick? Ah...the trades have begun. ------------------ "Chucky who? the pin only ties down the Bulls' own first round picks for the next 3 years (3::: I think)... until the Bulls are mathematically eliminated from being able to achieve a certain standing. The pin is best effective if/when the Bulls actually want to do a midseason trade for a Veteran... but it also works now w/ the Bulls next 3 first round draft picks because the status of those picks hasn't been determined yet. It's amazing that someone would actually be so stupid as to tie their team down for THE NEXT THREE YEARS for Bryce Drew! The shot was awesome, but sheez... the Bulls obviously ****ed up on this one. Somebody should getbranded w/ a dunce cap for such stupidity. ------------------ When this guy started smoking 40 years ago, people had no idea it was bad for you. So why did the Bulls trade for that pick? I think the Bulls want a vet for #4. Maybe the Rocks want their 2nd round pick seeing as we have none? 1 lotto and a 2nd. ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" Charles Barkley
I think that you might have something there Colby. Would you triple dog overpay to get rid of Cato? Would you trade Cato and the 13, 18 and 23 for the #4 and the 29? Would you add KT in there and drop the 23 and 29? Cato, KT, 13 and 18 for the #4? That's pretty steep, IMO... and regardless of our opinions of Cato, he does have some value. ------------------ When this guy started smoking 40 years ago, people had no idea it was bad for you. That is steep....but I would do it. Losing Cato and KT would allow us to sign Mo to a reasonable contract and land CWebb. We would be thin at center, but with Cwebb, Mo, #4, and cap room, we should be able to find a solution. And its not Collier. ------------------ "Chucky who? Achebe... what would the bulls want with Brand, Fizer and Ken Thomas? ------------------ "Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival." -- Winston Churchill (1940)

Good question HonestAbe! I don't know! But I imagine Fizer or Brand will be used this summer to pull in a pg. Kenny and Marcus would be a strong tandem... and Brand could maybe even net a Gary Payton sort of player. ------------------ When this guy started smoking 40 years ago, people had no idea it was bad for you. Lil Francis, if you send Cato away w/o taking something back you can keep Mo rather easily. ------------------ When this guy started smoking 40 years ago, people had no idea it was bad for you. Cato, KT, 13 and 18 for the 4 pick is a no brainer. Rockets would do that deal in a heartbeat. The Bulls could trade KT, 13 or 18, because all have trade value. Or they might move Fizer, who is no better than KT, in my opinion. He had that great run his senior season, but doesn't do anything KT can't do, and for about 2 mil a year less. ------------------
