    New Orleans wants RUDY!!!!

I watched the ESPN news conference. The owner and GM said they want a "championship caliber, well proven, well known individual that can make the team better and control players egos in a tough Western conference".....sounds like Rudy to me.

Changed the thread title from "New Orleans wants RUDY!!!!" to "Does New Orleans want Rudy?". Please don't post titles as facts when it's speculation. Thanks.

That does sound like they are going for Rudy. Or maybe Van Chancellor.

Rudy could be going to Philly or Portland.

If he goes to Philly he could probably hold Iverson.

In Portland, the gm is Steve Patterson.

I heard New Orleans did a bid for Rudy before hiring Floyd. I wouldnt be surprised if he did end up going there to get his "feet wet" again.

NO would love to have Rudy T., preferably at $6.25/hour. Unfortunately, because Rudy's asking price is in the millions of dollars, they will instead pick up Avery Johnson or Mike Fratello or anyone else willing to have the job title as their compensation package.

Id say there are probably about 18 teams that would like to have Rudy.
I would be shocked if he wasnt coaching somewhere in the 2004'-05 season.
    Anywhere but LA Rudy PLEASE!!!

and a part of me hopes Rudy kicks our ass when we play him.

Did you even watch second half of Yao's rookie year? Steve Francis started to defer to Yao then, and without a single sign of complaint. How bout making Cat to go from starting pg with 3 hall of famer, to going to the 6th man, to going to the focus of the offense, and finally going to be the 3rd option? Yeah Rudy sure doesn't know how to manage egos.

In one form or another, Rudy should be one of the highest paid coaches in the league.

I wish Rudy would stay a Rocket, but if wants to get back into coaching, he is more than qualified...I would assume SOMEONE would hire him, and quickly
