    assist, pass, team?

I don't think Mobley has a clue to what these words mean...

don't mean to offend any Cat fans, but as long as Mobley is on this team...forget the Rockets getting passed the 2nd round.

Does it matter if this is his first post here in the clutch? This guy has a point. Mobley needs to pass the ball more. I know he can shot and all that, but come on, you have to look for the open man and get a better shot. No chances making playoffs, maybe next year when Rice & Taylor come back from there injuries. My prediction Rockets will pick Micheal Dunlevey of Duke.

Mobley is a scorer, plain and simple.

He is not the type of player to pass, he thinks shoot/slash first, shoot/slash second, shoot/slash third, and the maybe pass fourth. And even sometimes in his mind he probably thinks if he dribbles through three defenders he can give himself the opportunity to shoot again.

Seriously this is why I (being one of the few to say it) that Cat should come off the bench. He would be a great sixth man, he would be the spark plug coming off the bench.

Great first post UTweezer, welcome to the BBS.

At least he can hit free throws unlike the rest of our team
And this is his third straight gave without as assist yet no one seem to care when the rockets won

how about trading Mobley for Rashard Lewis...and then re-signing Lewis in the offseason?

You do know Mobley was 10-20 tonight. The guys been enfuego of late. Face it, hes the best scorer on this team right now.

Seriously, do you want Mobley passing the ball to Morris, Norris, Cato, or Griffin out on the perimeter. I dont know about you but with way them guys are shooting from the perimeter right now I want Mobley taking the shot. Give Mobley some high percantage shooters to trust. For instance, a healthy Maurice Taylor and a healthy Glen Rice and you can count on more passes from Mobley.

If Griffin, Morris, and Cato were able to get good position down low or mid-high then I'd expect Mobley to pass the ball more often. But right now I don't see that happening. Unfortunatley, or Fortunately, depending upon how one feels, this system has it were the guards are predominant. That usually forces terrible shooters like Morris, Cato, Norris, and Griffin to wait for passes while floating out around the three-point arc. Mobley sees this and elects to shoot the ball instead. And rightly so.

It's almost true. He has 1 assist in the last 4 games combined.

Wow. That's pretty sad. I know he's been hot of late but I mean, come on. There has had to have been a few situations where Mobley could've passed and picked up a easy assist. If Kenny could come up with 8 eight dimes the other day, with the defense not concentrating on him or double teaming, then I know Cat had some opportunities too.

Once again Mobley is a "shooting" guard, hence the lack of passing. I dont understand why this terminology is so difficult for everyone to understand. Shooting guard means shoot first pass second in my book, but maybe we need a clearer definition or something. He is the best shooter on our team right now so let the guy gun and dont worry about the assists.....

    Geeeeeeeeeeze.............

50% shooting tonight....DrewDog is right on...He is a 2...sure we would like to see a couple more assists, but you cannot complain tonight when a guy is shooting 50%.....he is not a passing guard, he is a scoring guard

This topic has been sufficiently covered about 10000 times already. I guess UTweezer didn't realize this being the 1st post. But I'm skeptical of UTweezer. He steps right in on a 1st post to execute a perfect bash.

    1. Start a brand new thread over a topic that's been run into the ground
    2. Criticize one of our top players with wild abandon
    3. Have no "take" (Rome) and supported w/ no facts
    4. Project blatent pessimism well into the future

Well done, UT. It's taken some posters hundreds of posts to acheive all four pillars uselessness.
