It may surprise you that I'm a little worried....the reason is I know I'm a seasoned, and responsible gun handler, I just don't know about everyone who is buying a gun for the first time and what exactly is the motivation? I only hope a lot of the new gun owners invest a great deal of time in safety and legalities of gun ownership (just as I have.) On a related note, I went to Carter's country, as I usually do twice a month and I have never seen as many women shooting. Kinda glad to see that... take care.
There are a lot of stupid people buying guns. I heard this one radio show caller call this talk show discussing guns asking "my husband wants to know if he can bring his gun to the state fair? He has a license to carry a concealed weapon. " The radio show guy was like....umm...your husband should know that there are lots of places he can't bring a concealed weapon. No...he can't bring a gun into the state fair! He should have learned that as part of his instruction. Stupid people can own guns, too. Yes, it worries me because more children are going to end up shooting themselves while playing with Mom & Dad's pistol because they don't know how to be responsible gun owners. People are buying guns because they honestly believe a terrorist is going to knock down their door and gas them so they "better be prepared". If you didn't buy a gun before the 9/11 tragedy for another reason, then you should not be buying one now...unless your stoopid. If it is for home protection, then that's fine. But, if it's to shoot your Arab American neighbor for knocking on your door...then forget it. Oh...but it gives me a sense of security. Tell that to all the dead children of the world who shot themselves with their parents' guns. Do they feel secure now? Surf
