You forgot swinging and missing. He probably likes that he gets the minutes and shots. I bet he wishes more that he had someone there to take some of the pressure off so he could have a little more freedom to play. Apparently Landry, Scola, and Brooks don't demand enough attention, OR...Ariza just is over extending himself.
trade ariza! the guy can't shoot, plays ok on defense, and sucks at the ft line. trade him and tmac and brian cook.
Ariza needs his touches.......that is why he is crying. We need to run our offense through him......every time down the floor. I'm being 100% serious
He probably just feels a lot of pressure. I'm sure he would love to be able to say I'm that guy. The leader, the star. But we all know he's not. I think life will be better for him when Yao gets back. And either Tmac or whoever we get in return, in a trade. Ariza will be able to relax and be the 3 man. Being the guy is to much for him, when you don't have the skills.
He didn't come here to play the same role he did with the Lakers. I doubt he's upset, I'm sure he's upset with his play but I doubt he's upset with the situation he's in. He should have known what situation he was going to be in. Yao would be out for most of/all of the season, Tmac would come back to play short minutes and eventually get traded. He knew what he came here for.
Just let him shoot however many shots he wants. we are not expecting anything out of this season anyways..Mayb, by the end he will become Kobe
Agreed. Twice the work, none of the fame and stats that make efficiency cry. No real upside for him being in Houston right now.
I will take it one step further. I think he also regrets not signing with Portland where he could play with a guy like Roy. We have a good record so he really doesn't have much reason to be down. He just needs to improve his game so the team can continue to improve. If Houston record was below .500 I could maybe understand the frustration. He has nobody to blame but himself though. The Lakers really wanted him back. It's not like The Lakers did him like The Rockets did to Artest. They offered Ariza a real contract.
I think he wanted the opportunity, which is why he came here, but now maybe he's realizing that it's too much for him. If he hasn't figured that out yet, we're in big trouble.
Very few guys are asked to go from a limited role off the bench on the NBA's best team to the starting lineup with a green light on a team that's not as good. when they do, most will hit a road bump like he has and have their problems..
Crazy Would you regret it if you were working a $10/hr dollar job and someone said "Hey, why don't you come over to my place, I will pay you $50/hr and make you #1 in our company" After 5 years he can go back to the lakers at age 29, if he really wants to go back to LA with more experience.
