The team already has 15 on the roster but I believe Head will be waived and if he is it has to be by March the 1st that way he can be picked up and be able to play in the playoffs. Maybe that will allow the team to pick up a veteran pg to help the young guards.

 

We didn't have a mature PG before, why go for one now.

 

Would be cool to see Sam end his career here, but not happening. When is the last time Sam's played a game? It's been awhile.

Cassell would be a great add for an end of the year run -- veteran leadership.

 

Dont you think Cassell could help us? One of the strongest parts of his game was his mid range jumper...and what is Lowrys weakest? His mid range jumper. Even if he decides to retire after this year, if we pick him up he could mentor and help Lowry and brooks

There's alway the off chance the Rockets can get a second round pick in a S&T for Head from a team wanting to sign Head but looking to protect their MLE.

 

I don't think he should. I mean I understand where your coming from but how are they going to grow and mature. I get that your saying add a veteran to tutor them and tell them things but Jason Williams will be looking for playing time and Sam Cassell will be chasing another ring. I think. Also those two are washed up and done. If he was looking to sign a wash up player he might as well kept Steve Francis .
