Does anyone remember the debates whether we are better with Cat or Shandon at SG?

They sure seem funny to me now...even if Cat launches some ill-advised shots sometimes, it is pretty clear to me that he is much better than Shandon Anderson. Or would anybody seriously doubt this? :)

    You misspelled Shandn. ;)

I think a key issue back then was distribution of talents. Cat was clearly the better offensive player, but he seemed more valuable coming off the bench with Shandon making the starting lineup more balanced. For instance, if TMo and Langhi were to play up to their potential, I would start TMo over Langhi even if Langhi were the better offensive player. Essentially, everyone saw Cat then and Langhi now as one-dimensional players and Shandon and TMo as more well-rounded players. It was sort of like bringing Chuck off the bench in favor of Dream and Willis (it was Willis, right?)

Only problem is, it doesn't seem like Cat will ever mature into the player we need him to be. He's also too small to play D against Allen, Kobe, Vince, Mcgrady, Pierce(debateable)....

Just for the record, Shandon had a great season with us, when Cat was on the bench, and there's no denying that.
