It seems like DA is going to get traded soon. He's already in JVG's doghouse. Does anyone like his game or is he worth a bag of potato chips?

He didn't do anything that any other journey man couldn't do.

Nothing impressive. Can be replaced fairly easily if you ask me.

He is too small and too weak to guard anyone, too slow to do any damage offensively, good iq though. His time is over.

I think that injuries have hurt him in the long run. He used to be much more athletic and was a great third option, but leg problems have turned him into a jump shooter with average speed. He could still be a good role player for someone looking for a guy that doesn't play hard D and can knock down open shots

I like him...I've actually been around DA and he's one of the most loyal, nicest people on earth...I liked his game as well- I liked how he passed, defended and he seemed to have a good grasp on JVG's system so soon...he's really as good of a guy as you'll find in the league...

I can't even remember seeing a game where he knocked down an open shot for us. Am i defaming his ability?

    :D

He has been able to in the past. Maybe he was just in a slump. Based on his tenure with Houston, you are right. But I think I recall him playing well right before he got injured

I do. He started to play well before getting injured and seems to be a good dude.

DA seemed to be a nice guy ... and even when he was struggling at the start of the season, he still brought his game, brought offensive energy and got to the line fairly often. The way I see it ... it just wasn't meant to be. He was not the guy for this team, and things didn't work out. He got injured and the entire acquisition turned out to be a waste. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

from what i get from him thru interviews and whatnot, i feel like hes a real stand up guy, so i do like his off court professionalism...and back in the day, i liked his game too, coming out of kentucky he could really ball...just injuries have hurt him (i'm looking at you juwan howard)

...but at least he came here and played hard for us, not his fault he couldn't really get much going for himself, good luck and thanks DA, i'll miss ya...

I like him for turning down bigger contracts with the Lakers and coming here to play with Yao/Tmac. Too bad it didn't work out. If I were JVG, I'd give him one more chance after his injury before deciding to trade him.

Problem though is, at this point the Rockets have no margin for error left. There's no time to experiment and hope things turn out better. They're doing what they have to do. If this was still December then JVG would probably have no problem trying to work DA back into the rotation and see how it turns out, but at this point, it's do or die. If you don't make the right choice the season's gone.

Let's just forget he was even in a Rockets jersey. I know I have. I don't even remember what he looked like. I do remember him playing like crap though.

He is on the trading block, so his tenure with us is over.

His shooting is appalling. He has some good skills other than that, but we need shooters to spread the floor for Yao and TMac.

The one time I saw him play in person, at the all star katrina game, I thought he sucked more than even mike james and tyronne lue...

I was liek, why did we pick this guy up again? but, i figured he would be better than Jon Barry, Head, and Moochie as a backup gaurd.... guess i was wrong.
