I saw on another board that Kobe is listed day to day and may play Wednesday although at the moment he still has the stiches in his finger.

Doesn't matter. Rockets own Lakers this year! Yao owns Shaq!

As much as I hate him, Kobe has pretty much owned the Rockets.

With perimeter player, you can always limit the scoring by putting a good defender on him. Shaq was the only one who couldn't be stopped.

I guess Kobe scoring 53 on us last season wasn't convincing.

    bump.

kobe may play according to the last line of this article. i guess it's good or bad depending on the way you look at it. not as fun beating the fakers when they're depeleted.

    Bryant May Play Tonight

By Tim Brown, Times Staff Writer

MIAMI — Kobe Bryant told Coach Phil Jackson on Tuesday that he hoped to play tonight in Houston, the Lakers' final game before Sunday's All-Star game.

Since Jan. 12, the night he bruised his shoulder against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Bryant has played two games — 67 minutes over a month. He sat out his seventh consecutive game Tuesday because of the finger he cut, in an accident in his garage.

Tuesday afternoon, though, he wore out the local ball boys, betting his shoes against their conditioning on half-court, left-handed jump shots. One kid ran laps. Another ran stairs. Turned out, he gave them shoes anyway.

"Man," Bryant said afterward, laughing, "I'm killing those kids."

He dribbled with both hands, shot only with his left. But apparently, he felt there was improvement in his finger, a day after having up to 15 stitches removed.

"He says he'll play," Jackson said.

No, he won't play because he cannot shoot with his right hand.

But maybe he'll try to be a Stockton, just pass the ball.;)

Is it true he can not play in the all star game if he doesnt play his last regular season game?

    610 just said yes.

tears of joy. :D just to know that one of the league's premier players is suiting up despite a hurt hand so that he can get back at our home team. just knowing that he knows it's a big game kicks arse.

    edit: OUR
