The reason I'm asking is I believe most winners have a history of winning. If you look at the greats.

Dream - NCAA championships 2 years straight
Jordan - game winning shot in NCAA championships
    Ewing - NCAA championships
Magic and Bird - beat each other up during NCAA championships
Horry - Championship in his second year and has it all figured out;)
Shaq - here is the exception but with all his talents he didn't figure out how to win until Phil Jackson came aboard.

I am not saying that all great players won college championships. I am just saying that great players know how to win no matter what level they are playing. They get used to the success and knows what it takes to achieve it.

Steve only played for one year and I think in his only year he led them to the Final Four or the Elite Eight. By the way, how many NCAA championships has Ming won;)

Major in China, yes. Do we really give a damn who wins the CBA? No, now because we are going to have a Chinese player, of course, but before and after, of course not. There are probably loads of people here who didn't even know they played basketball in China before the 2000 olympics.

man, how quickly you guys forget...

Francis attended 3 different schools for 3 years of college...

Freshman year: San Jacinto Junior College
    Sophomore year: Allegany Community College
Junior year: Maryland, finished 28-6 to be ranked #5 in the nation and bowed out in the Sweet 16....

and you call yourself Francis fans? Well, some of you do.

I'm sorry if my sarcasm wasn't obvious. Still, I feel I should point out that by taking up for Steve originally with my first post, I too was saying that it doesn't matter if Steve didn't win an NCAA championship. Lonnie Baxter won, is he going to set the league on fire? So technically, we agree. Maybe your annoyed because we're trying to say the same thing.

This was not meant to bash Francis in anyway even though I am not too thrilled with him right now.

I was really more curious how successful his JC teams were. I am definitely not saying college success equals NBA success. I was just making a point that most great player (Dream, Magic and so on) find success at every level of play because they just have a knack for winning. Its in their character. I also think it is the same for losing. If you look at Webber, with all his talents he seems to find a way to lose. After a while, they get so used to losing that they find a way to lose.
