I'm addicted to salsa. I go through 2-3 jars of salsa a week and that doesn't include all the salsa I eat when I go out to a tex-mex place. I want to make my own. Do any of you guys have any good recipes. I like both red and green.

do you like chunky salsa? I have (IMO) the best chunky salsa ever...

you can multiply for bigger servings, minus for less, but this is what I usually do for me and a few friends.

    3 tomatoes fresh.
    3 avacados.
    2 jalapenos.
    about 4-5 green onions
    a handful of cilantro
    1/5 of a garlic clove.
    and some sea salt.

dice up tomato, avacado, jalapeno into small squares.

chop green onion (you can use the chive, some people dont, I do)

    mince cilantro and garlic.

toss everything in a tupperware style dish and then sprinkle with sea salt. whalah.

it's not exact, you can adjust if you prefer one ingredient more than the other.

anyway, give it a shot. ;)

Whenever I make homemade salsa, it always ends up being too watery.

I have a very simple salsa / pico de gallo recipe that works pretty well.
1 chop up equal parts tomatoes and onion
1 chop up 1/2 the part of tomato and onion jalepenos
mix tomatoes, onion, and jalepenos together with salt, cumin and rice wine vinegar. You can also mix in cilantro, parsely or other herbs for taste.
