This is about the 4th time this has happened, and it ONLY seems to happen to Rockets games - I will record the game, and then go to play it, and it STOPS after about 30 seconds, says it is at the END, and WILL NOT FREAKING PLAY THE RECORDING!!! Happened AGAIN last night!

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGH!

They are about to get a very angry phone call from me, but WHY the heck does this happen in the first place??

(I have never watched one of the game videos people post on here, is there usually one for every game? I was hoping to check out the game and Landry's big night)

that happend to me once. i wish i didnt do the update on my dvr. you have to set the priority so that the rockets are on top of the list....(or at least thats what i have to do). it should tell you if there's a conflict with another program.

edit: or maybe you're recording the blacked out one. usually on my get i'll get rockets vs. pacers twice. one is FSN Houston which is not blacked out....and the other one is fsn indiana i guesss? make sure you're recording the right one...thats the only thing i can think of

No, it was definitely the right one.. and the list of recorded programs shows this with a length of 3:30 hours, so it actually RECORDED the whole thing, it just lost the ability to actually play it somehow :(

Try turning the power off of the cable box and disconnect the cable wire coming from the wall into your cable box for 5-10 min or so. This will reset and re-boot the dish box. Worth a shot! It tends to work on my comcast box.
