hes 6'9", from what I've heard. He's quick, a slasher and can shoot the ball...don't give me the BS that hes not ready, he's 22 and been playing pro ball in europe. If Griffin can get some minutes then Nachbar can to.

PLEASE RUDY, LET NACHBAR GET SOME PT!!! DON'T RUIN HIS CONFIDENCE BY MAKING HIM RIDE THE PINE!!!!!

Because Rudy doesn't like foreign players who are 22 years old...oh wait...um...I'll get back to you on this one...

Seriously, I don't know either. I don't think Glen has been playing that bad but I don't think he should be playing more than 30 minutes a night. Hawkins brings some energy off the bench but I think he has instructions from Rudy to not shoot the ball. I'd like to see Boki play because he is 22 and may become a sparkplug off the bench.

RudyT has a system whereby he feeds his European players a special formula. With this new food, the European player will grow, develop a mean shooting touch, and even shoot 3s with consistency. If and only if he grows to 7 feet and his hair turns blonde will RudyT play him. It's a page from the MarkCuban playbook.

    Trust me.

I think I got the best answer. He needs to "EARN" his minutes. Didn't we all see this phrase used here before.

Is Boki doing really bad at practice or something? Is he sleeping with Rudy's daughter? But anyways, from the practice videos at rockets.com, Boki was hustling. Helping out on the double teams and what not.

I can't envision Boki playing more lackluster defense then Rice, and I reckon Boki's shot is just as sharp as Rice's. Why not give him a chance to live up to his 15th pick status.

I doubt BOKI's shot is as good as is Rice'...Rice is one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history...notice I said one of and not THE...put those flame throwers away. 15th pick or not, to expect a rookie to have Rice shot is not real fair to the guy.

He'll earn his and Rudy may be saving BOKI's exposure until later in the year, because:

    1. He's recovering from hernia operation...I know we all know that, but these guys put such a high demand on their bodies that recovering from a surgery can keep your body out of synch...not as tough for those of us who drive a desk for a living...

    2. He may be that bad on defense. Again, Rice is slow, can't play d and gets used by most of the players he's defending, but he knows WHERE to be. His body just is not fast enoughanymore to get there....but to compare a player that Rudy noted as being really bad (aka needs a lot of development) at defense to a futer HOF'er is not real fair either.

    3. There's a logjam at both forward spots and BOKI actually hasn't earned it from any of the other players. If you notice, BOKI only enters during pure garbage time, where his defense is not even remotely counted on.

I love BOKI's attitude and he will bring it, when he's called on...it just might not be this year.

    ls

ps I'm not Glen's PR man, just pointing out that our expectations of BOKI are pretty high - for anyone to say, well he's at least as good as RICE...give me a break!

For the month of december, hes 5/17 (29%) from beyond the arc. Not quite the shooter IMO, don't get me wrong. Rice used to be able to lite it up but hes getting old real fast.

From the scouting reports, Boki is supposely a 3 point threat. Since, he only had like 15 min of total play through the duration of 20 games, its hard to evaulate his talents. Thus, its hard for the young man to prove himself. Albiet he is young...he is part of the future of the team. I have confidence that he is going to contribute big time to the rockets.

The thing with european players is that they're taught the fundamentals of the game and alot of them hustle. Boki was picked ahead of Ginibolli, Giricek and Jaric, all of whom are having success. Boki is 22 and has been playing pro in italy (possibly one of the best countries to play bball in besides the US), I don't see why he can't get any PT amongst the rockets.

Boki needs to earn his minutes... but for some reason Terrance Morris doesn't.

I can think of a good reason for most of the players who get more time than Boki. But Morris should be on the IR, and the 3 guard line-up needs to go the way of the dinosaurs. Even if Boki sucks at defense, it can't be worse than with that dreadful Steve, Moochie, Mobley trio. At least he's got size...

My understanding of the reason that he hasn't been playing is that he still hasn't completely recovered from his hernia operation and still gets lost on the court. He'll have his time, just not now.

I think if Boki didn't suffer that Hernia setback, you'd see him in the rotation. It was unfortunate for him to get that injury. Big setback.

I hope his hernia is gone by Jan. I expect the Rockets to explode come new years. Ming will be dominating, Francis and mobley dishing and swishing open looks, Griffin sucking up the rebounds and swatting everything thats comes at him, nachbar playing like the next Peja...

hopefully, Steve has noticed his faults and soon finds him and the team amongst the elite next year.

I can understand him not playing 35+ minutes per game, but give him Kenny's minutes.
At least let him get comfortable with the system during game time situations.
At least then, when Stevie dishes it out to that person 20 feet from the basket, he won't hold the ball and be "cute" with it for 5 seconds before attempting to do something.
Who knows, once he begins to get comfortable, he may begin hitting his jumper on a consistent basis.....then that may open up the rest of his game?
This in turn opens up the court for Mobley, Stevie, and Yao when having 2 shooters such as Rice and Boki.

This may just be a personal opinion, but Kenny messes up the flow of offense.
Even Mobley has shown that he can play within the system of Yao posting up......at least so far. ;)

Give Boki a month or two of actual, consistent playing time.
I do believe he'll be a much more effective player than Thomas.

Are you joking? Rudy's daughter is hot and usually wears a NOT-TIE scent.

It seams like he would have to be hurt. To not at least get a couple minutes here and there. But the Rox have been in a lot of close games lately.:(

supposedly that isn't how he has turned out so far. he has been slow in practice and bad on defense. his quickness isn't there. i think he should be getting more minutes than he is, but i also think tito should be getting more minutes too instead of moochie.
