I don't understand what is R/a fascination with Ariza, that he has to take out Cbud when hes obviously having a way better game.. I just dont see what hes seeing, yes i undestand he plays defense but if that's the case should we just play more of battier who doesnt shoot 12 three pointers and dribble the ball away?? I mean its common sense RA!!! p.s I hope to see more of Jared Jeffies, Jordan Hill, and CBud
Yes because we owe Ariza after this season 6.3, 6.7, 7.2, 7.7 million dollars per year respectively. We need to showcase him NOW!! so hopefully he looks real good and we can trade him in the off-season... I'm pretty sure the Rockets organization would like to get rid of his contract but need him to build his confidence back prove his worth (Somewhat).
No.. Adelman is ridiculous.. I would have started Lowry over Brooks 20 games ago (Yes I know he's injured now...). I would also have started Kevin Martin and benched Ariza... AND I would play Jordan Hill with the starters..
I don't think Ariza has been as awful as everyone says he has been.... Sure his shooting has been a real struggle! But he does bring something to the half court offense, and imo we're much better off when he plays. Would like to see Budinger stealing Battiers minutes - however that might be tough if we want to use Battier as a 'chip' in a trade over the summer, we certainly don't want to let people think that he's not as good a player as CBud...
agreed. ariza's been alright on the offensive end. defensively I think he has done a great job. most nights you don't even hear about the guy he's guarding. it's redundant having 2 defense minded players on the court with weak offensive skills. if seniority rules then have him take some of Arizas because our problems on the offensive end is probably leaking into our defensive end. More missing = more defending. And when baskets aren't falling it's tougher to defend when you know you aren't getting baskets on the other end.
God, the thought of this makes me cringe. I already hated the fact that Battier could not put up a lot of points. But Ariza doesn't have near the bball IQ Battier has and often has as bad games in the offense department.
He is a two-three year project. You will be so grateful we handled the situation the way we are. He will help us out a LOT in the future as a wonderful third/fourth option. Quote me on this.
Are you sure about that? I think Ariza's true worth shows when we pick up a wing that can create for himself and others. Although I think Yao will help Ariza's game, I don't think it'll be monumental.
