Maybe I missed it but I can't believe there has been no mention of the funniest movie of the year: DODGEBALL. Stiller is back in form with some CLASSIC lines. Just watching the commercials I figured his accent and character would get old after awhile but I was begging for me. Vince Vaughn is top notch as well. The movie started off slow and I really wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.
That movie is AWESOME, best line in the movie: GREATEST QUOTE EVER! Ben Stiller is a genius and loved all the cameos.
There are so many classic lines that I can't even begin to remember them. I'll have to sneak in and see it again.
i wouldn't call the lines "classic" but this movie was definitely better than i expected. the trailer did not do it justice. meanwhile... catch "extreme dodgeball" on the game show network. it's funny as hell. midget / jockeys as the "stallion batallion," a team of mimes called the "SBD"... interesting rule twists... makes me want to play.
the best part of that movie was lance armstrong sticking it to vince's character towards the end. friggin hilarious.
best line of the whole movie..... "F***** chuck norris" runner up.......... "nobody makes me bleed my own blood...... nobody!"
Wasn't the whole dodgeball thing funny about ten years ago in the movie Billy Madison? Haven't there already been a few lame commercials based on the same unfunny premis?
So you are going to say it sucks before even seeing it? The reviews have been very good: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/DodgeballATrueUnderdogStory-1133496/
Dodgeball was aight. It didn't make me bust a gut but it wasn't boring, either. I liked the Pirate guy the best. For my money, the best line was "You must be Daddy..." Also, now that I think about it, does anyone know where I can get a white leather suit like the one Stiller wore to the chick's house?
I liked the movie. Happy to see Stiller getting success this year, as well as the rest of the Frat Pack (Stiller, Ferrell, Vaughn, Black, Wilson).
I do hate the game, and have nothing against these no-talent millionaires. That being said, I used to think Ben Stiller was a hack until I saw a movie called "Flirting with Disaster" on HBO starring him and Patricia Arquette. It was very clever and had a "Raising Arizona" feel to it. I was very impressed and it completely changed my opinion of Stiller.
