    LOL The Howard Stern Show did a bit where they sent a guy out to interview these "bronies" at the brony convention. Talk about weird.....dudes admitted to faping to my little pony :eek:

    That was interesting. The guys they interviewed seemed to really be into it; not "I like this because it's sooooo weird." Belonging is a big deal and it would look that at least one of those interviewed (the fellow with the Twilight Sparkle sticker on his car) is paying a heavy price socially for this.

    Their music sucks.

    Just guessing it's like many other fandoms: whether the show itself is anything special or not, it has somehow taken off and given people a place to belong. (And surprised so many people have even seen it - we don't get that channel - yeah, yeah, I know, look it up online, but it would be nice to be able to actually watch things off my cable instead.) Most fandoms are very accepting as long as you're into their stuff. These days it may be as good a way to make friends as any.

    I like the show and will watch it when its on, but part of me can't help but think some of these bronies have serious mental issues.

    Honestly this isn't much different from the other rabid fandoms. At least this is mainly confined to the internet and cons (unlike Twilight or Harry Potter).

    Oh damn, this is too funny. My little girl likes to watch this show and sometimes I find myself getting caught up in an episode like "oh man, wtf is going to happen?"

    Err, I mean, no, I don't do that...DOH!
