The USA has 5% of the world Population
The USA has 25% of the world's Prison Population

When people talk about we are the free-est country in the world .. . . .
    We are the least oppressive . . . .

yet we have imprisoned more people than anywhere else in the world

97% of people are in jail on a Plea Bargain
    Never go to trial
They are bullied and scared into admitting guilt for something they did not do . . . .
"You can do for 2 yrs if you plea . . . or 20 if you go to trials" - The Prosecution

"If you not guilty you should not take a plea" - The Usual Suspect
    Exhibit A:
    "yea right"

I think if you look at the statistics, the states with the highest incarceration rate tend to be states with the highest black population, and it is the reverse for states with the lowest incarceration rate.

Black unemployment is nearly twice as high as the national average. Per capita income among black persons is much lower than the national average. We send our jobs to China. We send our jobs to Mexico. We allow people from all over the world, both legally and illegally, to come tot his country and take jobs.

I am, under only anecdotal observation and pure gumption, going to say that this disproportionately affects the black community here in the United States'. A lack of hope, a lack of income, and a lack of prospects is not what young adults need to be given. They need to be given a chance to succeed.

Looks like it'll be a good documentary but I wouldn't go so far as calling it slavery. The prison system has a lot of issues though, that much is clear. We should not be sending people to prison for victimless crimes.
