I don't think this has been posted yet. My life story! <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cVLAvix-dX0?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cVLAvix-dX0?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
I sold Kirby vacuum cleaners, once. Actually I'm a pretty bad salesman unless I was pushing drinks across the bar. Back then I could sell most anything that comes in a glass or bottle. (second thought: I guess anyone can sell a drunk a drink)
I used to sell cookies and useless coupon books for my school orchestra back in the day. Sucked at it. I lusually just buy most of the cookies for myself.
In my old company I dealt with some sales guys. They always complained about stuff like in the video. Their biggest complaint was their sales actuals never matched up with the sales numbers once they were crunched through the ridiculous amount of IT accounting systems. One month they'd be high, one month they'd be low. Anyways, they liked to complain, but not too much because they made a TON of money and had tons of perks.
I read and watched Death of a Salesman in like..the 8th grade or something, and that pretty much made me never want to be anywhere near sales. Or dealing with customers at all for that matter.
