Depends. What did we get in exchange? I don't remember exactly.

If that's it I would rather have Mirotic. Nothing else? No picks?

The whole trade was johnny flynn, dmo, and a 2nd from Minnesota for brad miller, parsons, mirotic, and a 1st. We then bought back parsons for cash.

Johnny Flynn was arguably the worst top 10 picked point guard ever in a draft

Parsons and DMo makes it even. Still, seeing as we didn't keep Parsons I'm giving Mirotic the edge but it's much closer than just DMo in essence.

Not at all. D-Mo has much higher ceiling.

I might have to go with Mirotic but I understood why the Rockets preferred DMo instead. Mirotic wasn't coming/ready until 3 years later and DMo was believed to be a top 5 pick that season who just needed another year or so to build up his strength.

If DMo can come back and find his strength, I have to go with him. It's so hard to find a 7 footer who can finish with both hands, shoot the three, average defender, runs the floor and can pass. Must work on rebounding and conditioning but if he can figure that out, he is can be an terror to deal with (as he shown earlier in the season).

We sent Parsons TO Minnesota in the trade. Then we gave Minny cash to get him back in a separate trade.

I also wished we had picked DeAndre Jordan, Marc Gasol, traded Sampson for Drexler and Jordan, not made the Eddie Griffin trade, drafted Rashard Lewis, moved up for Paul George, signed Hassan Whiteside this offseason, etc. etc. etc.

If anything, DMo for Mirotic is a move that at this point, isn't clear is good or bad.

Oficially it looks like Rockets traded Mirotic for Dmo but I think in reality teams traded 21st for 23rd pick, then Rockets chose Motiejunas over Mirotic. Bureaucracy. There's no time to go to the NBA offices to make the trade official and then drafting the player, so teams oficially draft on behalf of the other team. But Rockets drafted Motiejunas over Mirotic.

Who cares both of them are starters now. Any other team would love to have either player.

(Of course same with Parsons, whose pick comes from a separated trade)

If he got as many minutes as wiggins does, he'd be right up there with rookie of the year and would very much have a chance to win

Mirotic is a really nice luxury for the Bulls. He'll probably fade back into virtual obscurity when Taj is back. Will be interesting to see what they do in the off-season.

Mirotic is absolutely a starter in this league and if Thibs is stupid enough to limit him in their inept offense, he deserves to be fired.

Dude would be ROY if it wasn't for Wiggins
