I've noticed that I have a tendency to wear the same old stuff and keep putting off wearing my better clothes (or at least clothes I like more) for some unspecified upcoming event--- that always arrives much later than expected. As a result, I wear the things I don't like as much about 3 times as often as the things I do like. Weird. Trivial but true. Sounds like depression-era thinking! I'm no clothes horse or anything. Dockers and a cotton shirt for me if allowed!
All the time. I'm really bad about wearing things out. I hate having to go and buy new clothes. I would rather spend that money on more important things like CDs.
I'm the laziest and luckiest female I know when it comes to clothes. I'm lazy because I HATE to shop. I'll just wear the same stuff over and over if faced with the prospect of having to buy new things. I'm lucky because I have a younger sister who is the same size as me and she LOVES to buy clothes. Even better, she gets sick of them relatively quickly so I get her hand-me ups. She just brought me two garbage bags for of cast-offs this week. I now have enough jeans, khakis and t-shirts to last me for a couple of years. I have one beloved t-shirt that I've had since ninth grade. I swiped it from my high school marching band in N.J. right before I moved. I wear it sparingly because I don't want to wear it out, even though I think it's some indestructable poly blend.
Shorts and a t-shirt. Every single day. When I played out a lot, I used to buy clothes for gigs fairly often, but what you wear on stage is a little different than what you'll wear just hanging around or to something formal. I like wearing cool clothes, but if the main thing I have to do is stare at a little box all day, I want to be comfortable first and foremost.
I generally dress well. If I am going anywhere that is not a store, lower-scale restaurant or something along those lines, I don't like to slum it. Of course, I don't dress as nice as I did when I was in the gallery world...but I still dress well enough. My big thing is material. I don't care about brands so much. I just like nice quality materials - a lot of those microblends. I also have a strange obsession with stretchy material...ooh, or shiney things (not bright, just things that catch a little light, even if they are dark). Hmm... Material means a bit because my color pallette is rather limited in regards to clothes - I mostly stick to earth colors. I love ties, just don't get to wear them as much right now.
Do I wear my favorite clothes? No, I eat them. Deeeeeeee-licious! I wear the simplest outfits possible.
I still wear my old practice shorts underneath my other shorts from my college days. I have a vast quantity of old Nike shirts and shorts,And 1, that I had to force myself to stash in suitcases so i would stop wearing them. lol
