OK, this is a Rockets history game, done as a fantasy league. The object is for the BBS to create the two best teams from Rockets lore. We use "best season" stats versus "career" stats. There are two teams, the Red Team and the Blue Team....sorry, yellow isn't an option.

We do a simple fantasy league draft. The Red Team drafts first, followed by two picks by the Blue Team, then we alternate two picks at a time. Like this:

    round 1: red, blue
    round 2: blue, red

    .
    .
repeat these rotating order until 12 rounds are seleted.
odd rounds, red picks first; even rounds, blue picks first

At the end, I'll get The Cat (as a favor in kind for draftsource hosting) to tally up the single best Rockets year for each player on the respective rosters to measure by Fantasy Standards.

SCORING RULES: keeping it ultra simple, pick any player who ever played at least 1 year for the Rockets, and we will meaure his SINGLE BEST YEAR AS A ROCKET from the Clutchcity archives....go here for cc.net statistical archives. Years with less than 50 games played for the Rockets are discounted.

DRAFTING RULES: one pick per participant. First come, first serve. Your pick is voided if:

You select out of order based on the team and round you stated

You pick a player already selected

You flooded one position or picked a wrong position for that player

POSITION FLOODING RULES: This is twelve rounds. Each team picks 3 players for 4 positions:

    Point Guard,
    Wingman (SF/SG),
    Power Forward,
    Center

Based on what position the player started at for at least one season. Any season is OK, and it doesn't have to be their best seaon that is used in the scoring.

EXAMPLE PICK: state the draft round and team color and Point Guard, Wingman (SF or SG), Power Forward, or Center. Like this:

    Round 3: Team Blue
    Rudy Tomjanovich
    Wingman

Red responds with classic Fantasy League strategy to pick the difficult to fill Center position.

However, they are leaving the PG position vulnerable for attack! We know how the Rockets are historically weak at PG!

vj23k,,,,with the sentimental (yet, too early) pick of Clyde Drexler.

    Remember, only ROCKETS stats count!!!!

btw: I think Elvin Hayes beats Hakeem....what a pick by jerinrulz!!!

use the archives. Drexler was a questionable pick this early! Mobley last year might even be better than Drexler. In '95, Drexler did not have 50 games with the Rockets.

wink3cat5's pick is voided until you name his position.

    Example:

    Name the Round
Name the Team (red or blue)
    Name the Player
Name the Position (C, PF, Wingman, PG)

    oh, pooh, dc rock

you have to state a position. Murphy started at SG when Lucas got selected, Hayes could have been selected as a PF, and Mobley can be selected as a PG, and Horry can go two ways.

this is simple. we fill out a roster. picking position is key to playing the game.

Didn't Rudy play power forward some???? I don't know answer to stuff like that, so please pick your position.
