Good, because I am going to tell you. Full body sunburns. Do you know what is even worse? Full body sunburns when you have not been out in the sun. So on Sunday afternoon I start getting small itchy hives on my forearms, wrists, and my hands start turning red. I quickly realize that this is an allergic reaction to an antibiotic (I had just taken a dose after starting on Thursday). Well, my body remembered that I had taken this before and said, "this doesn't belong here!" and started attacking. So it starts to get better and I think that it will just be an annoyance for a few days and then go away. I take Benadryl to minimize it. Well, yesterday it starts spreading bigtime until I literally have a bright red sunburn over about 95% of my body. It burns, it itches, I have the chills. It sucks. Then I read that this is a big warning sign so I go to the emergency room and am there until 4 am. They shoot me up with a bunch of stuff and give me prescriptions of more stuff to take and say it can take anywhere from days to weeks to fully heal. And, apparently, I might have some peeling just like a real sunburn.

I am definitely better today, but man does this suck. I have never had this kind of allergic reaction so it has really been odd and now I can't take any antibiotic related to that one for the rest of my life. Anybody else have drug allergies before? Know anybody that has turned bright red all over? The human body is so fascinating and frustrating. Sometimes it is really dumb and sometimes it is really smart.

Reminds me of a nature show about some kind of chicken or something that burys baby eggs in a large pile of leaves and will fight anything that gets near to protect - constant vigil. Then when the little one(s) is/are born the parent thinks it is an intruder and starts pelting it with leaves and pebbles, forcing it to run away and fend for itself. Stupid chicken.

this reminded me of a date i once had. a few hours before i had to pick her up, i felt a bit warm. i go to the bathroom to wash my face a bit only to see all these bumps on my face. i started freaking out since i've never had hives before. but just as quickly they had come, they disappeared. and they never have come back. til this day, i still don't know what caused the breakout.
