I can't decide myself. On the one hand we lose, increase our draft pick, and improve our chances of gutting our coaching staff. On the other hand we win, beating Jacksoffville, my most hated team in the NFL, and take some momentum into the division next season. What do y'all think?
I don't like losing for my teams to lose, but would definitely like to maximize our draft position as a consolation prize for this year's disappointing results to date. Hope the offense plays well and gets their individual stats for the year (Schaub passing and Foster rushing). Continue to work OD back into the mix. Lose the game in craptacular fashion - maybe a Hail Mary where Quin picks it off and while running around to kill the clock fumbles it and has it returned for a TD?!?
Honestly, don't know. A win does NOTHING for the team but a lose would be so much for beneficial...I can't root against my team, however. I might just skip this one and go to the movies.
assuming the Colts lose , anything that screws them out of the playoffs this year i'm all for it. a jags win will eliminate the colts. so i'm rooting for a Texans loss...besides i do want the higher pick (even though they'll probably screw that up too).
I'm not sure there is that much of a difference is drafting around 6th or 15th. Perhaps this is obvious but it makes a bigger difference drafting smarter than higher. The exception would be if we were going for a 1-5 pick but that is not anywhere like a realistic possibility with as many bad teams who need to win. I won't be upset if they tank. Would just rather see a win.
I placed my vote. Jumping on the "please lose" bandwagon. Way I look at it we are having a terrible season win or lose. Considering the talented Defenders in the draft, this game is one where the help from a loss is greater than the momentum from the win.
For those that want the Texans to lose...Will you be watching the game? I honestly can't watch a Texans game and think "GOSH yay 3 and out" or "I hope they fumble it in the red zone". I honestly don't see how you can root for a team to lose. I guess if you aren't watching the game, it's different, but to cheer for a division rival leaves a bitter taste. If the Rockets were in their position, can you honestly cheer for the Mavs to beat the Rockets? Can any of you actually stomach doing that?
McNair has made his choice, this team better have one hell of a start next year because these results are a lot more than just fans wanting a good draft pick. I remember the Bush bowl, and fans were kinda split on that one, this isn't a split it's an overwhelming they want them to lose. When the value of the franchise starts to drop because fans quit caring, he'll wish he went another direction and spent the few extra millions.
I want they to get destroyed so badly McNair will reconsider bringing Kubiak back. Or maybe a colossal failure in clock management that costs us the game.
Hoefully they lose and our owner has a moment of clarity that our team won't ever be winners with our joke of a coaching staff. Doesn't really matter where we draft we will pick another Kareem Jackson or Amobi Okeye. Seriously would Kareem Jackson even be drafted if he re-entered the draft this year?
i want us to lose in epic fashion... embarrassingly bad "holy **** can you f***ing believe this" fashion. so poorly that mcnair would be left with no choice but to clean house (yeah right). i mean the improved draft position would be a bonus but would be totally negated if the same braintrust we have now remains in place. jesus.... what a f***ing disaster this has become. it;s almost incomprehensible that this is the way this thing is playing out. i mean it defies all logic..... yet here we are. f*** you bob!
