Can you imagine any time in the next ten years you would actually want him gone? What would have to happen?

So you expect Morey's life to last only 10 more years?

I was thinking we flip Morey for a younger, cheaper GM that will fit our system just right.

Look what he has done in the last 5 years. Rebuilding without tanking for Morey took a total of 3 years after Yao went down. Some teams have been tanking and rebuilding for 10+ years. It still amazes me when people doubt the direction he is taking the team. Imagine what Morey could do if he was a ROCKET FOR LIFE!!

Maybe he can save enough cash and buy the Rockets from Les in the distant future. Then he'll have DD be the GM.

    The Future
Basketball Operations & Salary Cap Analyst Sachin Gupta, my guess is since he is the cap analyst that he was the first person to present moray with the idea of the poison pills.

have to wait for the final piece, which is flipping Asik+(insert a name here) for thirdsuperstar falls into place. Nevertheless, the current core of Harden, Howard, Asik is good enought to reach WCF IMHO.
his biggest feat is managing to keep asik for this year. Asik for two first round pick? who is he kidding, Morey fooled the heck out of asik.

Morey is the best GM in basketball. The Rockets had better not ever let him go.

I *love* Morey as a GM, however, for Life? Bit over the Top maybe?

That said, I'd find it hard to think of 5 GM's that I'd rather have than Morey. Heck, I'd find it hard to think of 3.

On a side note, I think Morey might be due for a raise. If PJax can pull down $12M/year without ever even having been a GM, Morey is due for at least a little sumthin sumthin for snagging Harden and Howard. I'm thinking that Les gets him a new desktop or calculator. ;)
